CRSZPL - First post-Covid release!

Chris Zippel and Yoram Roth co-founded D'Vision Records in Berlin in 1992. This is their first co-release in 28 years, with several others scheduled to follow. 

Chris Zippel is one of Germany’s leading electronic music producers, having worked with artist that include the Pet Shop Boys, Robbie Williams, Jose Padilla, Norah Jones, Schiller, and the German Band Ich & Ich. Throughout that time Chris created a number of underground Projects, and supported the dance scene’s best DJs throughout Europe. He continues to curate major festivals including the Chillout Area of the Antares series.
 
After thirty years of producing dance music, Chris returns to his techno roots as CRSZPL
 
CRSZPL’s first two tracks are built around the two evocative words Hiraeth, and Petrichor.
 
Hiraeth defines a homesickness for a place you can´t return to, or that never was. The track has an intimate sense of hope, longing, love and a “trust in the process”, as Osho put it…
 
Petrichor describes the pleasant smell of earth and stone after a recent rain. The tracks contains wild arpeggiated synth lines, leaving the listener with a sense of wilderness after the deluge.
 
The Remix with Photographer Yoram Roth renews an old cooperation between the two “Conscious Ravers” by looking back to the early 1990s. At the time they collaborated on various projects and records as part of the first wave of Techno in Berlin. As co-owners of D’Vision Records they were founding members of Berlin’s electronic music scene.
 
Chris Zippel is born in Berlin, where he lives with his daughter. He has spent substantial time commuting between Berlin and Ibiza.
 
Yoram Roth is born in Berlin. He is now Chairman of Fotografiska, the leading photography museum in the world. His business career is focused on leading investments into cultural companies.
