It was a beautiful setting to play on the Fire Floor of Antaris Project this year. My playtime was sunday evening from 9 till midnight, so I could see the sunset and the moonrise over the meadows of northern Germany. As it got darker, the fire poles around the dancefloor started to spit huge flames, and there was a beautiful crowd of happy dancers enjoying themselves with me.

What started as a chilly overcast Sunday afternoon in San Francisco this summer, blossomed into a full sunny dance floor, filled with good vibes and smiles. This is one of those extended sets where we really just flowed, went up, down, left, right, center, and back around again musically. Wir danken all den tanzenden und unseren lieben Mystics für eure Energie und euer Vertrauen auf dieser musikalischen Reise. Das gilt nichtzuletzt für euer Feedback, was uns wirklich viel bedeutet.

Imagine waking up with a blue hangover-cat = Blau Kater: Everything swirling in shades of blue because last night you decided blue was the answer to everything. Blue hangover-cats can purr with a unique gentleness, but you gotta keep them in check. Because when blue hangovers-cats leap over the acid arc (Acidbogen), they turn into blue panthers in the universe, trying to paint the melodies of the stars in blue. So, stroke your blue buddy, and keep painting. Keep painting on.

Stell dir vor, du wachst mit einem Blau-Kater auf: Alles in einem blauen Wirbel, weil du gestern Nacht beschlossen hast, dass Blau die Antwort auf alles sei. Blau-Kater können mit einer besonderen Sanftheit schnurren, aber du musst ihn im Zaum halten. Denn wenn Blau-Kater den Acidbogen überspannen werden sie zu blauen Panthern im Universum, die versuchen, die Melodien der Sterne in Blau zu malen. Also, streichle den blauen Freund, und male weiter. CRSZPL - First post-Covid release!

Chris Zippel and Yoram Roth co-founded D'Vision Records in Berlin in 1992. This is their first co-release in 28 years, with several others scheduled to follow. 

Chris Zippel is one of Germany’s leading electronic music producers, having worked with artist that include the Pet Shop Boys, Robbie Williams, Jose Padilla, Norah Jones, Schiller, and the German Band Ich & Ich. Throughout that time Chris created a number of underground Projects, and supported the dance scene’s best DJs throughout Europe. He continues to curate major festivals including the Chillout Area of the Antares series.
 
After thirty years of producing dance music, Chris returns to his techno roots as CRSZPL
 
CRSZPL’s first two tracks are built around the two evocative words Hiraeth, and Petrichor.
 
Hiraeth defines a homesickness for a place you can´t return to, or that never was. The track has an intimate sense of hope, longing, love and a “trust in the process”, as Osho put it…
 
Petrichor describes the pleasant smell of earth and stone after a recent rain. The tracks contains wild arpeggiated synth lines, leaving the listener with a sense of wilderness after the deluge.
 
The Remix with Photographer Yoram Roth renews an old cooperation between the two “Conscious Ravers” by looking back to the early 1990s. At the time they collaborated on various projects and records as part of the first wave of Techno in Berlin. As co-owners of D’Vision Records they were founding members of Berlin’s electronic music scene.
 
Chris Zippel is born in Berlin, where he lives with his daughter. He has spent substantial time commuting between Berlin and Ibiza.
 
Yoram Roth is born in Berlin. He is now Chairman of Fotografiska, the leading photography museum in the world. His business career is focused on leading investments into cultural companies.
