'Empty Spaces' is a moody melodic number, deep yet melodious and builds beautifully, and packs a punch too! One of those tracks that works, with its genre crossing coolness and excellent production.

"Panorama" is the B-side to Jeremy Olander's "Talespin" EP. Providing a release from the EP's tension, "Panorama" blossoms slowly, traversing  melancholic arpeggios and dissonant chords with crisp undertones before giving way to celestial chimes and melodic progressions that soar through over subtle kicks.

After making a massive debut with Rinzen last year on Yoshitoshi, Enamour is back with another collaborator, Nox Vahn, for a special two track EP, which includes a remix from German up-and-comers GNTN. Enamour and Nox Vahn deliver two enormous originals that would sound as fitting in Black Rock City as in Watergate. The title track is built around giant pad swells and complex, percussive grooves which take their time to envelop you in an astounding mixture of sound and space. “Dilemma” is a bit deeper, making use of a catchy, Phrygian-based melody that is equal parts exotic and exciting. It’s the perfect playa track and is sure to be all over BPM and Tulum this year. Finally, GNTN rounds things out with a swirling remix of “Sleep Paralysis,” turning the original into a more laid-back groover for building energy. We’re very excited to kick off 2020 with Enamour back on Yoshitoshi and with Nox Vahn and GNTN making their label debuts. Enjoy!

Last November when hot sweaty clubs were a thing, I played along side @BookaShade at London's E1. Their album Movements, released on Get Physical back in 2006 was/still is genius and something I return to regularly for inspiration, so to share a night with them was special.

We had an amusing pre gig dinner - It was great to have a moment to actually sit down, talk and get to know the guys a little. A few weeks later Arno kindly asked if I’d be interested in remixing ‘Polar Lights’ from their new album. I’ve discussed my approach to remixing before, one of the main points being I don’t jump on them lightly however, their track was ripe for reworking - first off it wasn’t already a dance track with a 4/4 groove - it was more of a down tempo vibe and most important, due to the great performance of @joplynberlin I could hear the vocal working a treat.

2019 was winding down and we were approaching our first Christmas with Huxley so decided to wait till the new year to start work on the mix so i could give it my full attention, so ended up starting in early February after arriving in Ibiza… then old Covid-19 decided to rocked up! What then unfolded was a month tucked up away at the top of the valley, diving in and out of the project, experimenting with the original parts of the song i'd been given, searching for the little moments that would then become the final piece. There were a couple times when I needed a proper environment to get to grips with the sonics of the mix. This meant a few covert missions to a studio near by - if caught by the Ibizan police it wouldn’t have gone down well... anyhow… we got there in the end and really happy that its out now in the ether.

Mattr aka Matthew Clugston is a leftfield house, breaks, and techno producer as well as a superbly talented motion graphics artist from Birmingham, now living in London. With residencies dating back to his hometown at Code with Steve Lawler as well as supporting gigs for Sasha & Danny Tenaglia, Mattr would share decks with the likes of Tale of Us & Jamie Jones before hosting his own events with fellow innovator Alex Banks as well as Maxxi Soundsystem, and XXXY, to name a few. It was from there that he made the move to Berlin to study music production & performance and where he'd form a friendship with label partner, Max Winstanley (Lewyn Stan)who he paired up with to launch their Helical Scan imprint.

After years honing his sound, Matthew went on to release his first album along with several other productions on Faceless Recordings, TrippyCode, Ozono, and CRR, garnering support from Amé, Guy Gerber, Anja Schneider, Nick Warren, Rodriguez Jr, & the legendary Laurent Garnier.

25 years after first cutting his teeth DJing tech house & breaks, Mattr's broad musical palette often draws him closer to the more emotive side of electronic music, finding deep resonance with forward-thinking artists like Max Cooper, Jon Hopkins, Tourist, Overmono, Fourtet, Phon.O and Radioactive Man, whom you'll hear plenty of in his consistent & beautifully diverse mix series.

We are now treated to this exquisite 4-track EP 'Salix', on his newly formed Loft & Sound imprint, with the focus being on IDM, electronica, leftfield house, techno and leftfield breaks.
