Dreamy aesthetics intertwine with dancefloor athletics in Several Definitions’ You Are Not Alone EP. The title track emerges via a slow paced wandering bassline, making for a gradually immersive intro. Padded with ethereal synths and aerial whizzes, Alone’s dreaminess increases tenfold showcasing the artist’s crafty melodic side. Hatzler jumps in on the remix, kicking off with a bumping bassline from the get-go. Injecting bass and grit is one of his known production traits, and he manages to give Alone a straightforward, still dreamy yet solid groove appeal.

'Nevermind' - is Victor Ruiz doing what he does best - exploring track dynamics within a perfectly developed journey - including an unsettling and trippy vocal that lifts the track even further towards the stars. Dresdener Jonas Woehl kicks off the fall season by bringing his driven and melancholic style to Simina Grigoriu’s Kuukou imprint for the first time, in the shape of two original tracks and two remixes.

The release opens up with a slow paced, gradually unfolding melody. Lasting is a poised, laid back piece whose dance-inducing groove is fit for the mellower times of a set, ready to wind up the crowd.

Times dives in with a bit more panache, in the same progressively unraveling manner. Using metallic synths and zig-zagging riffs, the artist channels a dark ambient in a highly dynamic composition.

Julian Wassermann swoops in on the remix, turning it into a winding slice of late night Techno that raises pulses and spirits altogether.

Taking on Times, Munich-based Future Proof showcases his remixing chops, having previously released on labels such as Moonboutique, Whatiplay and Bouq. The result is a morphed, jarring rendition of the original, with an emphasis on a bouncy and impetuous bassline.

Marco Resmann returns to Watergate after a productive stint at the Red Bull Music Studios in Cape Town with two stellar cuts featuring local heroes Deep Aztec and Black Soda. Tack on a remix from the one and only Oliver Huntemann and another revision from Resmann himself and you have the ‘Babylon Side’ EP.
Teaming up to kick things off, Resmann, Black Soda and Deep Aztec embrace the cultural sounds of Africa's organic percussion and vocal prowess to create a tour de force tune perfectly balance between flashing club lights and vast open skies. Following suit, ‘Abadala’ sees Marco again with Deep Aztec for a lush ride into deep emotional spaces by applying mesmerizing syncopated rhythms and spellbinding vocals ideal for deeper or more sentimental dance floor moments.

Up next is Techno legend Oliver Huntemann who, playing after Resmann earlier this year at the 15 years of Watergate event at Warung Beach Club in Brazil enjoyed his set and the two hit it off, so logically he was asked to lend his trademark sound for a revision of ‘Babylon Side’ and he twists the original into a heavy Techno belter complete with sinister sonics and fever inducing sirens. Wrapping things up is Marco Resmann himself with his own take on ‘Babylon Sides’ and delivers a wild and twisted version of gargantuan low end and psychedelic shimmers of the original vocal resulting in a killer tune with a ton of attitude.

Get ready for the Overkill - literally! Jannowitz Records has prepared the ultimate EP, compiled of five main time dance floor fillers by no one less than JAW label boss BOHO himself. For this particular release - which by the way is going to be the last of the imprint's most successful year in history - BOHO asked new and old friends, artists that see looks up to, sees as inspiration, just discovered recently or has been signing on Jannowitz Records for years. To put it as simple as possible: Overkill EP is a compilation of five thoroughly selected co-productions.For the first track BOHO invited one of his favourite Berlin-based producers to the studio. Kaiser Souzai doesn't need any introduction. As founder of Ballroom records he has been shaping Germany's electronic music scene for quite some time, providing clubs everywhere with one Beatport chart success after the other. On Jannowitz Records he made his debut as remixer for BOHO's first EP last year, right before releasing his own Road to Asia EP. Both their tracks with BOHO highlight the sexy side of electronic music in very different but in a way similar approaches. BOHO x TouchTalk - Wet Pants will make you wet your pants with its peak time potential and big room flair. BOHO x Light Breath on the other hand is way deeper and darker for those of you who enjoy the typical Jannowitz sound. To make the Overkill complete, BOHO collaborated with two new faces for this outstanding release. You might know SlikNik from his live project GRAU or his collaborations with the likes of Crystal Castles or Motoboy. Erotica was created in summer studio session when SlikNik and BOHO officially met for the first time and immediately clicked. Working on this track felt natural to both artists and suddenly, after hours of deep focus and creative exchange the track was born and got already tested on that same night in Berlin's infamous Sisyphos club. And finally, for Nicer Dicer BOHO teamed up with Rachel Raw who not only is BOHO's life companion but also the label head of Jannowitz' sister label JAW Dropping Records. Both bosses fused their musical energy and produced what now is one of the grooviest and wildest tracks of the year. Premiere: Alyne - No One Saves You [Parquet Recordings]

Following his successful Collider EP last year on Yoshitoshi along with his remix of Luzon’s classic “Manila Sunrise", Khainz is back and this time with a bag full of gems. We're delighted to announce the Swiss wunderkind will be releasing his third artist album (and first since 2012), Fingerprint, on Yoshitoshi in June of 2019. From this upcoming album we have extracted the Reflect EP; a teaser that features three of the album tracks, each representing Khainz’s production range and studio wizardry. 

We kick things off with Next, a perfect intro track that sets the stage for the energy to come. The track begins with slow and heavenly synthesizers, teasing listeners for a while with fluttery melodies before dropping into one of Khainz’s signature, stomping grooves. Beautiful phrases continue throughout, making Next the kind of track that makes dancers close their eyes and feel every moment. Next comes Reflect (no pun intended), a tune you may have heard in an episode of Yoshitoshi Radio, as it’s been a staple of Sharam’s sets for months. It picks up right where Next leaves off, with a dark, impending vibe that develops into a huge melodic techno banger. A mysterious vocal hook appears throughout the track which is sure to get stuck in your head, as anyone who’s heard the track thus far is aware. Finally, it wouldn’t be a Khainz release without some hard-driving techno, and Reconnect delivers on that front. The tune is impeccably produced, each drum hit and bass sound carefully sculpted in Khainz’s sonic laboratory for maximum force. This one will find a happy home in the crates of DJ’s who need a secret weapon for peak moments.

If these three tunes are a preview of what’s to come on Fingerprint, then we’re truly in for something special (and, having had the privilege of hearing it, we can assure you that’s the case). Khainz continuously sets a high bar for both the quality and quantity of his productions, churning out amazing tracks like a machine. Stay tuned for the full release of the album on June 28th, we can’t wait to share it with you!
