French-born and Berlin-based, DJ Merci brings a soulful, groove-heavy energy to the dance floor, deeply rooted in everything house and vinyl culture.
With standout sets across Berlin hotspots like Sisyphos, Renate, and Watergate, and releases on labels such as Kaoz Theory, House Puff, Large Music, We Play House and Snatch! Records.
His latest EP with kickin’ up dust showcases a more soulful side, featuring the iconic Robert Owens on Let’s Love—a track already championed by Gilles Peterson.

Wrapping up September for us is a mix I've been so excited to have and share, by DJ & producer extraordinaire; Rshaart aka @daidu

I've honestly lost track of the times I've danced, hung out, & talked shi with this homie. An integral part of my amsterdam crew & experience, he's been wowing me for years with the immense talent, depth & musical range. I'm not joking when I say he's been consistently one of my fav producers & someone whose approach to music is truly inspiring with the sonic waves he explores. 

It's been an inside running gag of us lambasting him for not putting his music out for the public to hear, & I'm so happy & proud of him releasing his first official EP over at the mighty @United Identities. 
Here's the mix in his words

"This mix conveys deep feelings of joy displayed through movements in sound: at times esoteric, at times spontaneous. Hitting it off with some slow vibes by a wide variety of artists I admire, we worked our way up towards danceable tunes, to continue with several productions of my own. We find ourselves in the deep afterwards, going up and down past several vibes. 

Long mixes like these give space to play non-linear and switch it up multiple times, which I love: 'building up' might just be my favourite part of mixing records. It also brings me in the mood to pull out a classic every now and then: there is loads of great new music being released and I play those records with love, but that does not mean we should forget the legendary past ones! 

Whether it's Tamiko Jones, Eric Kupper with his K-Scope Project, or MFSB: those tracks still touch me vibrantly after plenty of years. I have been playing some of these tracks for more than a decade, and even after all this time, they never cease to amaze me. After some more original productions that raise the intensity, we end the mix on a softer note - almost building up again - but I guess the mix has to end at some point, and what other way than groovy and organic? Much love to the hostest with the Moe-stest for pushing these long formats, and do enjoy listening!
