He kicks things off with Didgeridoo, the peak time, high energy track with its recognisable lead drumming throughout. Golden Zest follows with a mystical, well thought out number that we can imagine taking you deep into the night whether it be on a beach in Romania or a dark club in London. 

On the flip side Magic Flight brings a lighter touch to the EP with bouncy synth lines and rolling drums to accommodate for those long summer nights. Rounding things off we have 'Crowd Teaser' which has a lovely freaky chic groove that takes you on a trip.

Ben Rau inaugurates PIVs new PIV Club sub-label this October with his new EP Back To The Underground / Energy. Over the past decade, Berlin-based producer and DJ, Ben Rau, has risen up the ranks to become one of the undergrounds most prized artists, steadily unveiling hard-hitting dance floor cuts for the likes of beloved imprints such as Kaoz Theory, Eastenderz, Fuse, and of course, his very own Inkal and Meta labels. Here though, he joins forces with the powerhouse Amsterdam part and record label PIV, to launch its new sub-label, entitled PIV Club, and as the name would suggest delivering club-ready hits carefully crafted for those magic moments.

Up first on the package is the Back To The Underground, featuring legendary Mr. V on the vocals. This raw slice of classic House music employs many tropes that lie at the roots of the genre, from crunchy swinging drum breaks and an amalgamation of intricately intertwined piano lines, acid licks, and stab sequences, all underpinned by a spoken word vocal that ebbs and flows throughout the groove. Energy follows, an apt title for the nearly six-minute excursion which fuses ethereal textures, twinkling synth melodies, and a vocoder vocal uttering the tracks title, while squelchy acid bass and tension-building strings further fuel the dynamic groove alongside a robust drum workout.

Our premiere today is "Pastel Tropical", a track that opens with a rounded low pulse and sunlit pads that immediately sets a warm, summery mood. The deep powerful rhythmic foundation and bright, slightly filtered synth chords give it a balmy, beach club feeling, while little melodic details and Amalia's vocals keep the ear engaged. Delayed micro motifs and shimmering high textures add space and movement, turning the cut into something both nostalgic and fresh. Elegant and very danceable, "Pastel Tropical" sits perfectly between late day lounge and peak time warmth.

What happens when you 2 lads are locked in a studio in the middle of Devon for 2 days? YM003. 

Late last summer Josh Baker & Alfie Jack went on a trip down South to satisfy their creative needs as they spent 2 days locked inside Devon Analogue Studio. Their output was insane, with 12 tunes being churned out, and it was obvious that some would be going through our label. After much deliberation we decided on these 3 timeless cuts; Hazard, Simplistic and Night. We believe these tracks really show our intent as a label, not limiting ourselves and continuing to push our sound forward. These two producers have really truck up a formidable partnership when it comes to making tracks so it makes us proud being able to deliver another EP from them.
