Wheats steps out on Solid Grooves for the first time to close March with latest single 'Bizzi'.

An artist whose sharp rise has seen him gain plaudits from a host of the industry's biggest names, UK-based talent Wheats burst onto the scene in 2019 and hasn't looked back ever since. Now an artist very much at the forefront of the UK's surging wave of rising DJs and producers making an impact on the global scene, late-March welcomes a debut outing on Solid Grooves as he reveals the bumping and infectious 'Bizzi'.

Armed with hefty kicks, slick metallic drum licks, and rolling low-ends alongside an infamous hip-hop sample at the heart of the production, 'Bizzi' offers up a peak-time cut set to do some serious damage across returning dancefloors across the globe in the months ahead.

Our newest single called I.P.A. is produced by two young and talented artists from Amsterdam, who go by the name of Krasch. The upcoming duo make use of a warm rolling baseline and wavy pads to produce a sound that makes your mind wander off to the clubs.

Do Not Sleep puts some Spring into your step with the lastest EP from US artist, Wyatt Marshall.

Wyatt Marshall, has had a string of big releases on some of the hottest labels in the scene, such as Dirtybird, Deeperfect, Desert Hearts and Sanity, and now has his debut release on high flying Ibiza Brand, Do Not Sleep. 

The first track is Freq Machine, is classy stand out lead track. Bouncing bass line, clever synth pattern arrangement, combining with a slick vocal hook which is guaranteed to put a spring in the step.

Track 2, Building Blocks, is similar yet not the same to Freq Machine. This is a touch deeper from the title track, this has an underslung bassline, combining with smooth background pads and highly identifiable synth programming which makes this track stand tall.

Finally The Stache, finishes the EP in style by dropping a secret weapon A Dreamy deep groove, combining with a killer bassline groove, flows effortlessly waiting for the break to deliver the tension before firing back in to an incessant groove that is set to get everyone smiling

This is an essential must have release in the minimal genre which stands out above the rest and once again Do Not Sleep deliver another heavyweight release guaranteed to feature in the record box of the key players and further this Spring....

Josh Baker is back on his own imprint as he brings 4 cuts for the 4th outing on You&Me Records. 

He kicks things off with Didgeridoo, the peak time, high energy track with its recognisable lead drumming throughout. Golden Zest follows with a mystical, well thought out number that we can imagine taking you deep into the night whether it be on a beach in Romania or a dark club in London. 

On the flip side Magic Flight brings a lighter touch to the EP with bouncy synth lines and rolling drums to accommodate for those long summer nights. Rounding things off we have 'Crowd Teaser' which has a lovely freaky chic groove that takes you on a trip.

Josh Baker joins the roster of Ben Rau's Meta imprint this November with his 'Swift Eviction' EP, featuring four originals from the Mancunian artist.

UK based producer and DJ Josh Baker has been steadily honing his craft over the past few years, releasing material on the likes of Adult Only and Hedzup whilst playing at the likes of Parklife festival and The Warehouse Project on his home turf of Manchester as well as hosting his own You&Me events in the city and playing hotspots like Pikes Ibiza, Mint Club, Leeds and more across the globe. Here though we see him deliver his latest works for Ben Rau's fledgling Meta imprint, sub-label of Inkal and home to material from the label-founder himself both solo and collaboratively with Rhymos, and the label debut from Ray Mono. 
Title-track 'Swift Eviction' leads with a skippy, swinging drums grooves, swirling synth textures, snaking subs and vacillating vocal murmurs before the focal stages introduce a choppy organ melody to carry the groove throughout. 'Box Of Beats' follows, laying focus on an arpeggio bass lead, tension building atmospherics and brooding low-pitched vocal lines while modulating percussion and a robust rhythmic drive keeps things dance floor oriented. 

Opening the flip side is 'Everything Together' edging things into deeper territories with ethereal chords, organic drums and an acid-tinged bass lead at the forefront alongside spoken word vocal lines. 'Buuky' then shapes up the package, laying focus on crunchy off-kilter drums, resonant synth flutters and airy strings.

You&Me artists Josh Baker & Alfa serve up a shuffling house release entitled ‘Basscamp EP’ on Archie Hamilton’s Moss Co. label, dropping this November.

Manchester’s Josh Baker has been making notable appearances at Hide&Seek Festival, The Cause and Motion, not to mention a steady stream of releases on Tamango, Adult Only, Talman, and Ben Rau’s META. He’s also the founder of label and event series You&Me, of which fellow north-country rising artist and studio partner Alfa – who cut his teeth within Leeds’ thriving scene - is a core resident.

‘Basscamp’ starts with harmonizing pads, subtle bongo patterns, choppy chords and a rolling bass line, ‘Mr Bargain Hunter’ then cuts in with pumping sub-frequencies, arpeggiated keys, break-like kicks and falling space-laser stabs. ‘Marketplace Steal’ finalizes things with fluttering stereo effects, a 303-groove, haunting vocal samples and tight percussion.
