I am so damn happy that you guys covered this song!

I love how dreamlike this version is. I don't hate Kanye's version, I really don't. His was full of melancholy and the feeling of not knowing where you are but still holding on to blind faith. This version is more surreal and it somewhat reminds me of a merry-go-round ride that you're on but you don't know when it'll end and you can continue somewhere else. :)

Lil Seyi had this to say about the collaboration: "When I first connected with Bruce and Marie, we just naturally started talking about music and all the different genres and blends we were excited to try out and work on. It was such a unique experience for me because this was the first time I was collaborating with artists as established as they are. But they were so nice, welcoming and treated me like an equal.

I think it might have been the same day they had sent me a folder full of Ideas they came up with and since then we had just been exchanging dropbox folders and emails to iron out the details on the final 2 tracks we came up with, Meet Me In Paris being one of them.

I was actually planning to go to Paris at the time, so I started writing about that. I tried my best to remember my six years of French classes to come up with a few rhymes. I was a little worried that Bruce and Marie would make fun of my French, but they loved it! They continued to build on the idea, and it's become one of my favorite unreleased songs. I listen to it every other day, and I hope you all like it as much as we do."
