KataHaifisch was born in 2015 as a podcast series on SoundCloud. The original mission? To provide a stage for fresh talent within the electronic music scene. What started as a springboard for newcomers quickly evolved into a trusted hub for established artists and creatives alike.

In 2020, we took the next step and transformed from a podcast project into a fully-fledged record label with a distinct sonic identity. We are dedicated to the deep and melodic sides of electronic music: driving Indie Dance, earthy Organic House, and hypnotic Down- & Midtempo grooves.

Since then, our weekly Thursday podcasts have been complemented by regular releases on all major platforms, curating a sound that works just as well for deep listening as it does for the club. Whether you are looking for fresh discoveries or your next favorite track, we invite all music lovers to tune in, dig deep, and get lost in the sound.

KataHaifisch wurde 2015 als eine Podcastreihe auf SoundCloud gegründet. 
Der Ursprungsgedanke? Neuen Talenten aus der elektronischen Musikszene eine Bühne bieten. Was als Sprungbrett für Newcomer*innen begann, wurde schnell auch zur Anlaufstelle für etablierte Artists und Künstler*innen aller Art.

2020 folgte der nächste Schritt: Aus einem Podcast Projekt wurde ein eigenes Label mit Fokus auf Down-Midtempo, Indie Dance & Organic House Seitdem gibt’s zu den wöchentlichen Donnerstagspodcasts auch regelmäßige Releases auf allen gängigen Plattformen.

Crafting raw, hypnotic soundscapes through live improvisation, I shape my music using analog synths, MIDI expression, and evolving loops. Each track is a moment captured—built in real time, always in motion. Rooted in dark minimalism and experimental energy, my sound thrives on contrast: deep and driving, yet fluid and unpredictable.

I work from a self-built, upcycled studio—created piece by piece with reclaimed materials, echoing my approach to sound: building something new from what already exists. Field recordings, analog textures, and intuition guide me. I don’t polish things to perfection—I let the edges stay rough, organic, alive.

My music explores the spaces between reflection and movement. Mindset blends beauty with unease, weaving deep textures and minimal rhythms into a dreamlike but unsettling atmosphere. Electronic Chant, born from a day in the forest, channels that same tension between nature and machine—ambient layers meeting organic techno pulses and vocal fragments. Both tracks reflect an ongoing journey toward immersive, emotional listening experiences.

This isn’t background music. It’s music for falling into—cinematic, meditative, raw. As Anca, I’m not here to follow trends. I’m here to build sonic worlds that breathe and move on their own.

In the depth of music you close your eyes. You close your eyes to open your heart. You open your heart to give in to the strength of floating spaces of music. Welcome to the sound of Just Emma. The duo manages to make you drift from reality to a fictional journey into a different world. For more than four years Alex and Saskia have been part of the electronic music scene, spreading their driving, deep, hence melodic and playful sound focusing on one message their music reveals to every single person: love! While Saskia‘s musical skills developed during early childhood piano lessons, Alex made first contact with electronic music with his “Minimal Lounge“ solo project. Releasing on labels such as Katermukke, Sol Selectas, 3000Grad and Connaisseur Recordings it is their own imprint Underyourskin Records that has been causing a buzz lately and on which Just Emma releases their dark and melodic interpretation of electronic music. Therefore the duo prefers to play the early morning hours to attract the crowd with an ocean of diverse sounds.
