FLOATING P.O.V. is the debut LP from Melbourne songwriter and multi-instrumentalist MATTHEW MACLEAN. After a long tenure in the Melbourne "underground" music scene as a band member (Broken Needles, Tender Bones), rando' gun for hire, and occasional solo performer, Maclean is nailing his boots to the deck and putting his name on a thing. An album, just for you.

Largely written over the last 3 or 4 years and recorded with borrowed gear in a spare room during several lockdowns, the album is a dreamy trip through meandering guitar led, indie pop songs and stripped back folksy numbers. Lyrically the collection is joined together by themes of observational humour, loss, longing, and mechanical engineering, delivered in a mixture of equal parts; sweet sincerity and slightly aggravated sarcasm.
