Despite being a small town in Norway surrounded by seven mountains, the Hall of Fame of Bergen is home to many world famous names including Edvard Grieg, Erlend Øye and Röyksopp. It’s also home to Made In Sane, an enigmatic duo with a passion for all things analogue and Eighties. They also have a knack for melody, as they display in their enchanting debut Flying Circuits.

Remixes come from Man Power and Mørkeby. Not much is known about Man Power. We know the mysterious whizz kid lives in Europe and he has a release coming up on John Talabot’s Hivern Discs... Second remix comes from Mørkeby, yet another Norwegian disco talent we can add to the Eskimo list next to Prins Thomas, Todd Terje and Lindstrøm.
 
Flying Circuits is taken from The Pink Collection, the first installment in a brand new Eskimo compilation series. Out now.

Sleigh Bells met Chicago rapper/singer Tink when the two played a Red Bull Sound Select show in Austin during SXSW 2014. While they were already familiar with Tink's music, Derek and Alexis were blown away by Tink’s energy and confidence on stage – even inviting her up to sing during the closing moments of the Sleigh Bells set that night. When the band was next in the studio in NYC, they invited Tink to contribute a verse to a new track that Derek was producing. Things went well in the studio, and the collaboration deepened as Alexis and Tink worked out additional melodies and vocal parts – within a day, “That Did It” was complete, and is available now courtesy of Red Bull Sound Select.

Over the past 8 years or so we have had, along with Theo Parrish, the honour of playing the monthly residencies at a small basement club in Shoreditch, London with an impeccable sound system. After 20 years of operation, it was time to move on and close the doors on a place that has a lot to answer for in shaping modern club culture. To say this space along with the owner Ade’s singular vision was fundamental in our personal musical formation would be a complete understatement. 
 
On the day of their closing, manager Charlotte asked us if we’d put the system through its paces for the last time that the club would be open to the public. We set about packing the anthems from our respective residencies and on the night once the people were through the doors played 2 records in turn for the rest of the dance. We included tracks of our own and of friends that were made with that place in mind. Records like Daphni - Ye Ye and Four Tet - Pinnacles were made to first be played at Kieran’s nights there, and the Floating Points - Vacuum EP was born out of the CD-R night at the club, and its launch party was the trigger for Sam’s monthly residency.
 
We set this recording up just before the start of the night and unfortunately it distorts in places, but we make no apology for how joyfully noisy people get! The vibe in the room this night was typical of the club on any given night and we hope this recording captures just a fraction of the spirit of a Plastic People night.
 
A massive thank you from us to everyone that has come down to the nights over the years and supported our music there. We are truly humbled to have shared the music we love with people at this place, and your energy in turn has influenced the way we make music on an unfathomable scale. We also thank the bosses Charlotte Kepel and Ade Fakile for inviting us to the club and having faith in us over  these years! All the best for the future!

Aquadrop is “On Fire” with his brand new release featuring melodic vocals paired with a bird whistle and catchy drop. They say catchiness is recipe-based and dance music industry producers make a living trying to find and apply the perfect balance and chemistry between particular elements, however once in a blue moon some guy comes out of nowhere and touches on a bunch of soft spots with a witty seamlessness - what one might call a prodigy. 

ViLLΛGE has been in charge of our visual side, the go-to guy for anything from video trailers to VJing during our club nights. He couldn't avoid making some music of his own and it just so happens that it's not only up to par with everything that Origami Sound stands for but also a testament of his seemingly infinite potential and fantastic sense of quality and appeal.
