It would happen by chance while sitting in church at a young age that new R&B male sensation Ty hailing from Detroit, home of Motown, would have his gift for touching people with his soulful & melodic voice overheard by the Pastor of the church. The Pastor heard Ty singing along to songs as his older brother sang in the choir. This discovery lead Ty’s Mother to enter him into various talent showcases. At this time Ty had discovered the seriousness of the gift he was given to reach people with his voice reminiscent of the Motown legends & R&B greats of the past. From that point on it would become Ty’s mission to take R&B music to a highly recognized echelon, while bringing back the true essence of R&B. Ty’s talent displays the strong influence on music Detroit continues to have and has never lost since the Motown era began.

With influences like Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, & Sam Cooke to name a few Ty feels it is his destiny to reconnect people to the kind of music that will not be forgotten years in to the future. Ty is armed with motivation & desire to play his part in restoring Motown back to the city known for producing what is missing in R&B music today. He intends to bring feeling and crooning back to music in a unique style that is all his own. Every artist has a story on why they want to sing & for Ty the ambition is to share his passion for music that speaks to the soul with the rest of the world. He also wants to help turn Detroit to its rightful place atop the soul music dynasty. Ty intends to show that a young artist can pull listeners of all ages together with harmony & melody that can be both inspiring as well as uplifting.
