On May 18, 1989, Briday Brazzle aka Laydii Dutchess was born in Arlington, VA. This American born part Dominican bilingual female had a rough upbringing. Yet, Laydii Dutchess never let her troubles hold her back from her dream of becoming a Hip-Hop mogul. She began singing in church at the age of 7, and dancing hip-hop, jazz, and ballet at the age of 9. Remembering what her father Roland Stephens and uncle taught her at the innocent age of 12 about rapping, Ladydii Dutchess pushed over the pain and allowed hip-hop to be her therapy. She overcame numerous obstacles in life. By the age of 13, she became a ward of the State and was pushed into group homes and different foster care programs until the age 18.
Laydii Dutchess has worked with as well as had management and marketing teams approach her throughout her career and none seem to fit just right, until she found herself as an artist ,Where she finally found her amo. She works closely with IDBProduction’s Robert Newkirk and Teddy (The Bear) Davis, who has worked with such artist as (Don Juan, Raheem DeVaughn, Ginuwine, Lil Moe and Dru Hill). The raw hip-hop style this young lady possesses, comes off very unusual with a relative understanding. Her music is a direct reflection of her life, one not so flowery and pink. It's been a long tough road and Laydii Dutchess uses her music to get through situations as well as open her eyes to a better understanding of life's fun and struggles. Her performance at major venues, local events, and open-mic shows throughout the DMV and other areas along the east coast has expanded her fan base, to name a few Weyone Lounge, Chelsey's, Jaxx, Element Lounge, Expo Lounge, Club Wozabia, Lounge ofThree, Mary Gold’s, Red Lounge, Mirrors, Double XL Lounge, as well as Las Vegas Lounge. She has also performed in New York’s Club Pyramid. These venues have opened many doors to expose Laydii Dutchess as an artist with great skills.
Her singles include,“My Time”, “Don't You Go” , “Contemplating”, and "Corner Store". Also known for her many collaborations with different hip-hop and R&B artist in the DMV, NY and ATL area which include Fat Trel, Beware, S.M.I.F.F., D Steel, Phat Rabbit, Lotto (TargetSquad), Street Kings, D-Cannon, Nazz-D, Devin Massina and many more. She has also done videos/interviews with Fat Trel, Shanelle (YMCMB), Cassidy, The Game, Young Moe, and many more. The real lady of hip-hop has been placed in a network of her own. Laydii Dutchess has the title of freestyle queen in the Washington Metropolitan area and HOST of Island Cafe “Keys 2 Da City” on a weekly basis. 
She continues to defend her title and has no plans of ever giving it up. One day Laydii Dutchess plans start a non-profit organization to help other young females that have fall victim to rape, abuse, and non-placement in society today. She strongly insists on challenging herself constantly to become one of the greatest Women to ever hit the industry.
