Young Robots is a record label run by Skinny Friedman, DJ Apt One, DJ Ayres and Relative Q.  We put out dance music and also some other stuff.

Regina "Gun$" Garcia is a Washington D.C. area transplant, who moved to Philadelphia for art school, and ended up taking the city's music scene by storm. She initially made her way into the electronic music arena designing merchandise and promoting events for the future music DJ / production titans, Seclusiasis. In 2009 she moved from behind the scenes to front and center, and began her first DJ residency at Flamin Hotz Records' ‘I CAN HAS BASS?’ party. Soon after, she was inducted into the Philly chapter of the legendary New Jersey based DJ / producer club music collective; the Brick Bandits. 

She approaches her DJ sets with the unique goal of playing music that would personally have her cutting a rug on the dancefloor, and she's often found dancing as hard as the crowd in the DJ booth. She's rocked crowds from clubs to festivals and currently holds residencies at Philly's Mad Decent Mondays, Hands & Knees, Factory Girls and Red Lip District parties. Her Double Dutch party created the blueprint for "girl power" in Philly, and showcased the debut 215 performances of Azaelia Banks, Maluca and Zuzuka Poderosa among others. She's also taught aspiring female DJs 
the craft, and counts Philly selectors Suga Shay, Yolo Ono, Magglezzz & Ghostpunch among her top students.

No stranger to mixtapes, she's dropped a number of them showcasing the best in dance and rap music. 
In 2011 she released a groundbreaking all female rap mixtape, "Bad Bitches Bomb First," which ranked number 34 on SPIN Magazine's Top Rap Albums of 2011 list - the only female offering on the chart. In 2013 she performed as tour DJ for up and coming rap superstar Lil Debbie. 

Gun$ Garcia's catalog, and accomplishments continue to expand and grow, and she is a pioneer in her field.
Within a few years she's established herself as one of the most formidable and inspiring DJs in the US and her brand is rapidly gaining global recognition and respect.

Lisa Frank is a kaleidoscopic sound purveyor with a playful yet refined musical palate that boasts a multifaceted approach to techno, disco, electro, house and bass. Unbeholden to any one tempo or groove, Lisa Frank's excellence in versatility has earned her shared billing with Sasha & Digweed, Black Coffee, Richie Hawtin, Maya Jane Coles and Horse Meat Disco. With a decades-long music career and residencies once held at famed east coast clubs U Street Music Hall, Flash and The Eagle, Lisa Frank remains a frequently entrusted sonic curator of the underground.

Michael has been on the forefront of many important movements in dance music over the last ten years. With his signature funk-influenced style, he has left his mark across the musical spectrum, sometimes under pseudonyms such as RCMP and Michael The Lion.

He was a part of the multi-genre style of DJing that catapulted his adopted Philadelphia to the pinnacle of the DJ world in the early 2000s. His years of seasoning as a DJ have seen him play all styles imaginable all across the US and Europe.

As a part of the duo RCMP, his work foreshadowed the emergence of Nu-Disco before the genre even had a name. As alter-ego Michael The Lion he is pushing the boundaries of funk in modern dance music.

He is an internationally renowned disco edit-maker, appearing on alongside the likes of Todd Terje and Tom Moulton. He has officially remixed global stars as diverse as Wiz Khalifa, Todd Edwards and Gregor Salto.

He is also is one of the OGs of “Moombahton” – the polyglot global EDM movement that saw DJ Apt One find fame on the BBC, NPR and elsewhere along with pioneers Dave Nada, DJ Sabo, Dillon Francis and more.

He is also a founder and executive of Young Robots Records, and has put out debut records by Solidisco, Nicos Gun, Fashen and more.

DJ Apt One has shared stages with some of the best talents of this generation, including The Rub, Diplo, Tittsworth, Juan Maclean, Treasure Fingers, Nick Catchdubs, Gigamesh, Big Freedia, Blaqstarr, DJ Sega, Sammy Bananas, Spank Rock, Dave Nada, Wale, Dillon Francis, Peanut Butter Wolf, De La Soul, !!!, RJD2, Bonde do Role, DJ Neil Armstrong, The Hood Internet, Anna Lunoe, The Budos Band, The Flaming Lips, Flosstradamus and more..
