two brothers who travel the world making music

In just a few years, @OliverHeldens has transformed his HI-LO alias into a leading force in the techno scene, earning respect from the underground while maintaining international crossover appeal. With a sound that blends spacious atmospheres, raw energy, and innovative production, HI-LO has become associated with peak-time techno suitable for both warehouses and festival main stages. Early releases like “Zeus” and “Kronos” set the tone, earning him the title of the #1 most-supported producer across all genres on 1001Tracklists in 2020. Since then, he’s topped Beatport’s annual charts as the best-selling and most-streamed techno artist, released notable tracks on Drumcode and Filth on Acid, and performed key sets at Ultra’s RESISTANCE, CRSSD, Factory 93, Warehouse Project,  Seismic Dance Event, and more. His music receives strong support from industry leaders like Adam Beyer, Charlotte de Witte, Carl Cox, Tale of Us, Amelie Lens, and Solomun.

HI-LO’s output continues to influence the scene. His label HILOMATIK, launched in 2023, has become a powerhouse for innovative techno, featuring his solo work and collaborations with Green Velvet, Armin van Buuren, Eli Brown, Maddix, ZHU, and Kasablanca. With a packed global tour schedule performing to millions of fans worldwide on a yearly basis, HI-LO pushes the limits of techno while bridging underground credibility and global appeal, proving that genre boundaries are meant to be blurred, broken, and rebuilt.

Acutek is a Techno Artist from the rural highlands of Scotland. An ambassador for Scottish nightlife, the ‘Flick’ frontman has been championed for his contribution to the scene in his hometown and further afield.

With over a decade of musical experience, Acutek’s palate can be described as ethereal Techno with rough edges. Citing inspiration from Slam, Petrichor, Frai.zer, Pan-Pot and more, atmospheric spaces and storytelling breaks are met frequently by gritty and potent grooves in abundance.

An esteemed producer, Acutek has already achieved commendable success within a relatively short period. His 2018 release on Biotech Recordings topped the Beatport ‘Hard Techno’ chart and was supported by the likes of Luigi Madonna, Christian Valera, Mark EG & TKNO among others. Acutek also has releases on Gibbon Records, Unknown Territory and Space City Recordings to boot, with several others lying in wait.

A frequent feature at many of Scotland’s burgeoning Techno venues and festivals including The Tunnels, Mash House, Bongo Club, Ironworks, Belladrum Festival, Mugstock Festival - Acutek has already had the pleasure of supporting some of the industry’s finest names. Jasper James, Jay Lumen, T78, Ramiro Lopez, Stephano Noferini, Gary Beck, Mark Broom, Pleasurekraft, Bontan, Anna, Lex Gorrie, Quail, Hans Bouffmyhre and Tommy Four Seven being just some of the artists to feature on the same lineup as the Forres native.

A talisman student of Glasgow’s revered SubSine Academy (dubbed ‘Soma Skool’ by many), Acutek has often rubbed shoulders with some of Techno’s most-celebrated artists whilst learning the tools of the trade. He has also invested his efforts into the globally-acclaimed Toolroom Academy, with the quality of his productions growing in stature at an exponential rate.

Using his ‘Flick’ event brand as a platform to further develop his reputation within the industry along with more releases and bookings in the pipeline, Acutek is planting all the right seeds to enable him to grow into a household name within the Techno universe.
