Jandaya is an instrumental project with a combination of dance, techno, acid, electronic, darkwave, gothic, experimental, and weird sounds/samples with eerie horror sounds but still can dance to. Ed Lardieri is behind Jandaya. Finally self teaching my self how to compose and produce music on the side after wanting to learn how to since my wild adolescent days. Now with it slowly coming to life.. Jandaya’s future releases will quickly soar listeners into a crazy realm of what goes on in my head. The first single “Catching Ghosts” was released 10/01/25. More releases will be out soon.

I had my first introduction to electronic music with the release of Odesza's album "In Return" in 2014. I was instantly obsessed, and since then I have always had a passion for edm. During my senior year of high school (2017-2018) Illenium's album "Awake" was released, and it completely changed my perspective of what electronic music could be. The vocals, production, and emotion of those tracks were unlike anything I had ever heard. That album got me through some very hard times, and I wanted to do the same for someone else through music. Towards the end of senior year I downloaded Ableton (a popular program for music production). I was incredibly overwhelmed. I had no prior musical knowledge or experience, and Ableton is extremely difficult to jump into. I learned quickly that it takes a tremendous amount of knowledge, creativity, and hard work to produce music. This was a discouraging revelation. Every few months I would sit down, produce a terrible track, close my laptop and move on thinking "this just isn't for me". Then around December of freshman year of college, a switch flipped in my mind. I decided that I was not going to stop until I learned music production. That was about six years ago, and I'm still working hard to produce music with emotion, something people can connect with. I truly believe that no heart makes dreams work and time can't match.

I live kind of in the middle of nowhere, so I have some spare time here and there to write music.

I've been recording original music for the past 5 years or so, both acoustic and electronic. The songs I write are meant to be reflections of specific events in my life or feelings I've experienced. For me, music is a way to preserve my memories, and by writing this music I am just keeping track of things I'd rather not forget. I really enjoy a lot of different genres of music, from indie/alt/prog rock, shoegaze, and new age, to fusion jazz, djent, electronic, and new wave. I can't say I have any specific influences, although when I first really started getting into music I listened to a lot of Modest Mouse and Radiohead. I'm fairly new to making electronic music ... I started out recording cover songs on YouTube, and that eventually led me to write guitar tracks of my own. Later my friend and I bought a Korg Kaossilator Pro and I made my first 2 instrumental/electronic albums, which I still have up on this page if you scroll down far enough ;) From there I eventually ended up getting Reason 5 and have been using mainly that ever since. I really hope to get Reason 7 soon, so hopefully I'll be uploading more soon.
