3. Movie Star - Benjamin Jago Simonsen, Caspar Jago Simonsen, Youth Theatre of Kenya Cast

Founded in 2015 The Youth Theatre of Kenya is inspired by the highly successful
National Youth Musical Theatre in the UK. The NYMT takes the most talented young
performers throughout the country and gives them the chance to produce professional
quality productions. They have produced many professional performers over the years.
With the talent that we have in Kenya, we aim to achieve the same.
While schools in Kenya produce some fantastic productions and acting and drama has
long been a great Kenyan tradition, there is a huge gap between what is happening in
schools and what is happening professionally and there is very little opportunity for our
most gifted young people to enhance that talent.
The Youth Theatre of Kenya aims to provide professional opportunities for our young
performers, musicians, technicians and even stage crew, whilst slowly integrating young
directors, choreographers, and ever playwrights into our ranks.
The Youth Theatre of Kenya aims to be the very best in theatrical work with young people, through developing and nurturing their creative potential.
