We are very proud to share our first Birdcast alongside a tremendous artist and producer of our third release.

Dan Piu, a Zurich-based DJ and producer, has been a key figure in the Swiss electronic music scene since 1989. His passion for dance music was ignited by his older sister, who introduced him to dance music through mixtapes from local DJs.
In the late 1980s being involved in Zurich‘s Acid House scene, he also spent his summer months of the years 1988-1990 in Valencia and Benidorm, immersing himself in the vibrant club scenes of these cities. He frequented renowned clubs almost daily, studying the music and techniques of local DJs, which significantly influenced his development as a DJ.
Later in the early 90ies, he founded his labels No Acting Vibes and Moto Music, marking the start of his production career. His work is distinguished by a warm, analog sound, strongly influenced by Italian and NY Deep House and UK Bleep sound.

After a 10-year hiatus in the 00s, Dan Piu returned to the scene, releasing music on labels such as Childhood Intelligence, Cartulis, Terrestrial Funk and recently also on our Birds Label.
