Cadenza Music opens up its 2016 account with the debut single from Swiss producers, Rare Movement feat. Disco Channel.

Cutting their teeth on the DJ circuit for many years, and playing alongside such esteemed jocks as Seth Troxler, Ricardo Villalobos (who mastered the audio on these tracks), Jamie Jones and Luciano (who ultimately signed this single to Cadenza), the guys have crafted a pair of tracks that sit right in the DJ sets of the aforementioned company.

‘Rare 007’ combines tension building synths and a wandering bassline, wrapped up tight in solid drum groove, its hypnotizing tones carving out a most useful club tool.  On the flip side, ‘Rare 011’ digs deeper, with cinematic string sweeps over the sparse and bass heavy kick drum.  Flashes of vocal refrains and micro percussion fly in and out of the arrangement as the melodic elements give this one a real sense of drama as the track blossoms into life.  A very accomplished debut from the guys will no doubt provide a real ‘dancefloor moment’ in the right setting.

BAAZ returns with two deep and driving house tunes on his third release for Slices Of Life!
Since the release of his last SOL 12inch „Swimmer“ (SOL5) quite a bit has happened: Baaz founded his own successful label  Office Recordings (https://soundcloud.com/office-recordings), he has also created a new moniker for his Dub techno productions as "Eric Miller".
His love of dubby sounds and echo chambers can be experienced in  „The Reason“ and „Ancestor´s fun“, although it´s obvious that Baaz also stays true to his Deep House roots. He skillfully combines spacial structures with his characteristic driving beats and organic sounds.
"The Reason" is a grooving light footed tune with a jumping bassline and develops, step by step, this driving energy, that will not let you go. "Ancestor´s fun" brings up the energy level with stronger beats and open high hats, but the playful warm sounds and drifting strings keeps the wonderful flow that we love to hear from Baaz´s productions.

Massimiliano Pagliara debuts on Ostgut Ton with his new EP, Time And Again.
Born and raised in the deep south of Italy Massimiliano Pagliara made his way to Berlin in 2001, quickly diving headfirst into the German capital’s club scene (particularly Berghain’s predecessor club, OstGut) until he started DJing in 2003. By the time of his joining with Ostgut Booking agency in October 2015 Massi had already constantly delivered – the DJ and producer has left a strong mark on House music throughout the years with energetic, playful and deep sets behind the decks, two acclaimed solo albums on Live At Robert Johnson and various collaboration projects. His residency at Panorama Bar therefore was a no-brainer – but the musical link by one of House music’s finest with the club’s label was still missing. Now Massi steps up with four new tracks and his first release on Ostgut Ton.
Heavily influenced by classic Chicago House, Electro and early Disco music Massi’s new EP serves as a cross-section of his musical interest as a producer and sonic palette as a selector. Working with vintage studio gear, analogue synthesizers and classic drum machines, his Time And Again EP is as warm and soulful as it’s lush and bursting with strength.

Florian Meindl surges ahead in 2017 as he returns once more to his home
base FLASH Recordings. He has been locked away in his studio and is now
ready to unleash his new album ‘Time Illusion’. With these album sessions
Florian has created a special collection of analogue focused tracks which will
be released on a double vinyl album and digitally in the Spring.

Amalgamating his array of impressive hardware, he has refined his sound and
crafted a selection of tracks that demonstrate intricate knowledge and mastery
of his analogue equipment. His aim was to find the right balance between
musical depth and sound design while interacting with the hardware.

In anticipation for the LP release in early April, Florian has prepared a unique
live set featuring a Modular System, the KORG Minilogue, effect boxes and a
909 drum machine which were used in the creation of the album and which he
will be touring throughout 2017.
