As a kid growing up just south of Atlanta, rapper and creative PJ Swayne, a.k.a Plain Jane Swayne (born 1994), used to ride around blasting Outkast with his older brother, unbeknownst to him, creating his passion for expression and musicality. The dedication and discipline served him well: After spending his late teens and early twenties quietly exploring his style and releasing only one mixtape, Swayne caught the attention from listeners with his single "Exodus 3:14", off of his debut project, "Art of Pain". PJ's close affiliation with YSL, synthesized his influences into an airy trap sound: smooth and mellow, blending spacious beats with a relaxed, highly melodic delivery, filled with inflictions of pain in his voice, on certain songs ballads, followed by unorthodox cadences.
