YS - Non Partial (EX -1)

'Non Partial' is the latest release from YS. Music made during 2023, through the online exchange of files, finally realised in real life during the dead of winter in Berlin at Studio Asbestos. An epic mini-album condensed into 4 tracks exhibiting both bold and obfuscated plunderphonics. Looted accapellas invoke the likes of Lil B and DnB vocal legend Robert Manos. These are reimagined, crafted over sound collages and emotive synth work. Dramaturgy with an emphasise mostly on chordal composition. Fabricated soundscapes in the ‘real world’. Each sound work is also accompanied by a video. The result is unclassifiable audio/visual media works about nature & dissolution.
