For over two decades he was one of the figureheads of the German "Drum & Bass" under his "alter ego" "CATIVO".
Toured across Germany, Europe's major cities such as Porto, Brussels, Ghent, Groningen, Rome, Napoli, Vienna, Salzburg, Linz, Zurich, Prague, Bratislava, Bozen, Innsbruck ect. u. the USA.
Countless club u. Festival gigs paved his way before he devoted himself to his new techno project "MIKE OPANI" 4 years ago and reinvented himself completely.

Due the love of Technomusic he is back and delivers 3 Trax of his vision of Techno and Acid.

In den 90er Jahren startetet er als DJ auf diversen Techno Partys um sich dann1997 dem Drum&Bass zu widmen.
Unter dem Pseudonym „CATIVO“ trug er massgeblich zur Entwicklung der Deutschen „Drum&Bass Szene“ bei und gilt heute als einer der Urväter der selbigen.
Bekannt ist er vor allem durch seine arbeiten unter dem Pseudonym „CATIVO“ unter dem er Produktionen für nationale und internationale Labels wie  „Force Inc./Position Chrome“, „Urban Takeover U.K.“, „Freak Rec.“, „Hidden Trax“ und seinem eigenen Label „Assimilate Recordings“ veröffentlicht hat.

Die liebe zum Techno bestand all die Jahre weiterhin. 
2015 entschloss er sich auch wieder im Techno aktiv zu werden.
2016 folgten die ersten Techno Release auf MT- Music/Austria.
2017 Wurde „MARIKA ROSSA“ auf seiner Production aufmerksam und signet umgehend seine Trax für eine E.P. auf ihrem Label „FreshCut“.
2018 startet seine eigene Partyreihe „CONCLUSION“ in Stuttgart.

And there is also something happening in this scene, which is quite apparent: It happens relatively fast. In Germany, the motherland of the electronic music, an artist has seldom managed to infringe at the same time upon such widely spread generations and masses. It is not by coincidence, that ideas like „German Techno Master“ (DJ Mag) or countless first grade placings originate in the process of the scene votings. Meanwhile one can also hardly keep up counting his fanclubs, who welcome him with frenetic exultation spreading across the entire republic and far beyond.

Already receiving a No. 1 Beatport Progressive House hit with the “Yoav” EP on Lost & Found in October 2017, the year culminated in a debut full-length album for Guy J’s label; “Could Be Heaven” thus signaled significant success in November 2017. A No. 1 best-seller in Beatport’s Electronica charts saw Chicola simultaneously reach the No. 2 and 3 spots in Progressive House and Techno respectively, while blue chip support for the Israeli’s 12-track magnum opus has come from Nicole Moudaber, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and fellow countryman, Guy Mantzur. Moreover, given exclusive access to album material, the renowned German duo, Tale Of Us championed “Backstabber” for the duration of their summer residency at Ibiza’s “Privilege”.
