"On our third-year anniversary, we are stoked to launch ‘Yellow Island Various Artists 2021’. The compilation brings new faces to the label and features artists from different countries around the world, allowing each artist to express their own essence.

This V/A showcases experimental sounds, with 20 tracks that flow through the genres of house, lo-fi, electro, IDM, breaks and jungle.

We had the pleasure to have Gabriel Massan design the cover artwork for the album."

French imprint Community Center returns with its fourth release this March, entitled ‘66BEO’ and coming courtesy of the fledgling Nantes/Paris, France based producer and DJ, MLF. Since establishing itself in 2020 the Parisian Community Center imprint has unveiled an amalgamation of rave-tinged sounds and styles across its last three releases from Pasteur & Tsy, S3A and Mayflo. Here the label continues to bring raw, experimental electronic sounds with the debut EP of MLF, a blossoming artist merging influences of breakbeat, house, jazz, and electronica across this six-track EP. 

‘Chianti’ follows, laying down choppy breaks, ethereal textures, Hammond organ licks, airy arps and bumpy bass grooves. Out March 18th via bandcamp & streaming services.

Raised down under and now based between London and LA, AK Sports’ productions, DJ sets and Balamii shows are a melting pot of rave flavours, equally inspired by the old school as the new.

This makes for a truly unique, easily identifiable sound that combines computer-love, retro acid synths (‘Robots Are Forever’) and anthemic piano stabs (‘Sayulita’) with futuristic, cosmic soundscapes; and industrial techno, with MPC claps and reverberating breaks (‘Kurrupt’, ‘Xoxo’). On Lost In The Sauce EP, unorthodoxy and irreverence are at the core with AK Sports refusing to follow the rules laid out by genre.
