Enjoy this great after hour set by @audaemusic in the most magical morning. The sun was fully out and there wasn't a single cloud in the sky. Everyone looked so colourful and whimsical. We can't ever forget what this set felt like on the floor.

I would like to take you on a very personal journey. A slightly different mix than usual, far away from any straightforwardness in terms of genre. It is a journey with light and shadow, an interplay between darkness and light. Life itself is never straightforward. It goes uphill and downhill. It was a long and difficult process to face the rain and the sun in equal measure and without judgement. But in the end, it is the beauty that is recognised in all of this that is the true blessing. Welcome Home beim SUBGROUND TALK, unserem Podcast für die elektronische Musikszene!

Für Folge #7 hat sich das Stagedesign-Duo “PämPäm” aus Berlin mit unserem Host Moritz getroffen: Maya und Christoph.
In ihrer Kreativ-Operationszentrale sprechen sie mit Moritz über ihr Kennenlernen im Jahr 2015, bei dem sie sich nicht nur unsterblich ineinander verliebt haben, sondern auch ihre gemeinsame Leidenschaft des Upcyclings entdeckten. Getreu dem Motto: “Euer Spam ist unser Päm!” verwandeln die beiden seit nun bald 10 Jahren Fundstücke des urbanen Alltags, für die meisten leider abgestempelt als Schrott und Müll, zu Oden an die Nachhaltigkeit.
Ihre Idee, diverse ausrangierten Materialien durch Kreativität und Fertigkeit zu neuen Kunstwerken und Installationen zu machen, unterstützt zum einen die Wiederverwendung unserer begrenzten Ressourcen. Zum anderen beschert sie uns bunt gestaltete Räume, Spielplätze, Fahrzeuge, Wände und (Festival-)Bühnen.
Seit 2016 wirken PämPäm beim 3000Grad Festival mit und gestalten dort jedes Jahr mit der Crew das Bühnenareal der Schatzinsel. Zu ihren Projekten gehören auch die Gestaltung von Clubräumen wie der Ritter Butzke oder dem Kater Blau in Berlin sowie das Bühnendesign des Sonnendecks der Fusion!

Unser Host - Moritz König - und (3000GRAD-Verantwortlicher) Molle aka Mollono.Bass gründeten die Plattform 2020 als Support für die vom Corona Lockdown gezeichnete Szene, sodass sich diverse Clubs und Kollektive Online darstellen und Spenden sammeln konnten. Mittlerweile steht SUBGROUND unter anderem hinter verschiedenen Veranstaltungsreihen wie Klangwald und Rave Cage und arbeitet eng aber unabhängig mit 3000GRAD zusammen.

This is my set, I played at the awesome @opposite-perception NzNz party night alongside @verve7 and @cosmic_analytica who played a deep, dark rolling techno set together, topped of by the the fantastic @herbatechno and Lee (who I can't find on SoundCloud somehow :-))
I had to re-record the set, coz unfortunately the recording of the night didn't work out! So the mix has one extra track in it, which I didn't play at the party coz I only had a one-hour slot.

Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose (1885–1886) by John Singer Sargent is a captivating vision of twilight a poem in paint where innocence, light, and time converge. Set in the garden of Farnham House in Broadway, in England’s Cotswolds, Sargent began the work during the summer of 1885, not long after departing Paris in the wake of the “Madame X” controversy. The idea was sparked during a September boating trip on the Thames at Pangbourne, where he saw Chinese lanterns glowing among trees and lilies at dusk. The painting depicts two young girls Dolly to the left and Polly to the right lighting paper lanterns amid roses, carnations, and tall white lilies in bloom. Originally, Sargent had planned to use the dark-haired daughter of his friend Frederick Barnard as a model, but she was replaced by the Barnard sisters for their fair hair, which better suited the luminous palette. Painted en plein air with impressionistic spontaneity, Sargent worked each evening for just a few precious minutes during the fleeting “blue hour” to capture the delicate balance between lantern glow and fading daylight. As real flowers wilted with the advancing season, he replaced them with artificial ones to preserve the harmony of the composition. The canvas was originally rectangular but later trimmed by about two feet on the left to emphasize the central figures and bring it closer to a square format. When it was unveiled at the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition in 1887, it received both criticism for its “Frenchified” style and praise from admirers, including Sir Frederic Leighton, who encouraged its acquisition for the nation. It became the first of Sargent’s works to enter a British public collection, and today it resides in Tate Britain. The scene captures the quiet enchantment of evening the hush of a garden, the gleam of lanterns, the fragrance of blooms distilled into a single suspended breath where the ephemeral beauty of nature and the artistry of light merge into something timeless.
