Description: First test of the MOS-LAB Kobol Expander III, the expander is driven by an external sequencer and runs on it's own, no external effects. The two VCOs are driven by the sequencer, the DECAY time of the filter envelope is controlled by another row of the sequencer to create accent. The resonance is modulated by one of the LFO while the second one modulates the waveshape of the second VCO.

Deep Breath is part of a triptych of tracks built around the same “Found Sound” source and approach. The project is a collaboration between myself and Maff Evans, and the main track “Breathe” is the parent, as it were, released under our Open Sky moniker.
Breathe utilises “Found Sound” samples to weave together a moody cinematic audio collage. It follows closely the development of our previous tracks, drawing from cultural / Sci-fi references that posit audio essays on existence, life and meaning…
On completion of Breathe, we felt there was more to say, so we both continued the conversation under our own artist monikers and developed a triptych of related tracks.
