"Meet me in the Stratosphere" - a powerful message that I received from my beloved diseased Godmother through a dream. This beautiful woman was one of the few people in my childhood that really saw ME and encouraged me, despite her own sadness of letting me wander, to go my way, even if it meant FAR AWAY. 

Losing her so soon to cancer was the most interesting experience, because instead of feeling loos and devastation like most of my family members, I could only feel her joy to transcend and be free from physical limitations and pain. After a brief period of grief, I started feeling a stronger connection to her than ever before, a connection that was so real and outside of time & space. 

She started, and continues to, visit me frequently in my dreams and meditations, teaches and guides me towards my highest expression. The "Stratosphere" symbolizes the thin layer between the worlds (the veil). She showed me and said to me "this is as far as you can come being in a human body, this is as far as I can come towards you, being on the other side. Do your inner work and continue to meet me here." 

I believe in this time where a lot of souls are passing and the ones left alive feel sorrow and hopelessness, this message is not only for me but for everyone. We all have to start waking up to the truth of yourself, cultivate your abilities to connect outside of the 3D, to communicate without words, to listen without ears, to so see without eyes, to fly without wings and to use your full human potential.
 
"Stratosphere" was intended to be a Soundscape for 'psychonauts' of all kinds to journey within and beyond. Breathe, meditate or use the help of sacred teacher plants to get there - explore whatever it takes for you to expand your consciousness and open that door that has been shut down for too long already.

BEHIND THE SUN

This was the opening set for SoulPlay Festival 2023 in Cobb, CA. SoulPlay is a 4 day immersive experience filled with transformational workshops, celebration, dancing, connection, and play.

My intention was to the vibe high for the pool on the first day. This track was very sexy and soulful with a lot of retro and afro inspired tracks.

This was my first SoulPlay and I am so grateful for the chance to play here. All the dancers were so embodied in their being. Thank you SoulPlay and dancers for your beautiful energy!

"Let It Be Dark" is a story of heartache during a time of deep mourning
and shedding in my life. It encompasses the grief of loved ones lost
and the rediscovery of self. This song was channeled from a very
vulnerable space in my heart that is rarely seen or heard.
I hope this poetic soundscape touches your heart, allowing you to
embrace your own feelings of melancholy and sorrow.

May these words serve as a reminder that it's okay to “not be okay" all
the time. Tears and sadness are natural and can also be beautiful. 
Honor those painful things that occupy a space inside you. To push
them away is to push away a part of yourself.
Embrace the darkness as you would the beautiful midnight sky. Allow
that tender ache to help guide your light. It will always find its way.

This set was recorded at home a week after BitF 2023, inspired by music I played there at the Mystic Lounge, since I often forget to press record button when I play live :)

The mix contains some of the tracks I played in the Mystic Lounge at BitF 2023 on Friday and Saturday and represents my vision of the Mystic Lounge camp's sound: multicultural, slow, hypnotic, shamanic and mystical, but in the same time groovy and driving.

The prophecy of the White Buffalo Woman, it is the most significant prophecy of the Lakota people, others like Comanche and Navajo also see it as a sign of things changing in the world and better times coming.
A symbol of Hope, and honouring that which is sacred, this is a reminder to Pray and remember your relationship with the Creator, just as the White Buffalo Woman taught the Lakota people to pray with the 7 sacred ceremonies over 19 generations ago. 

2 new white buffalo's are born, 1 in Texas and 1 in Kansas (perhaps on the same day 25th of April 2024). The one born in Burnet, Texas, is named as “Unatsi,” the Cherokee word for snow. Even the National Bison Association says that it is indeed a rare event, about 1 in ten million chance. And if the prophecy is true, many major changes this year will lead us to a better relationship with the Earth, with each other and with the Great Spirit in the sky!

The white Buffalo woman is part of Lakota belief that she walked into the sunset before stopping and rolling over four times.

“The first time, she turned into a black buffalo; the second into a brown one; the third into a red one; and finally, the fourth time she rolled over, she turned into a white female buffalo calf before disappearing,” The white buffalo came to represent peace and harmony.

After 20 years actively avoiding the creation of original music, this is the thing that woulda killed Tasha if she'd kept it inside. 

The Light is the gates unlocked. It hits with layers of vocals and soaring bass, drones that draw you into the silence behind your eyes and beats that sync with the pulse of blood runnin your lungs. 

It’s afterhours + early triphop with the live echoes of a concert hall. It’s the sun setting on a banging dance floor. It’s a bouncy menagerie of percussion and distortion, interplays of silky guitars, rough edges and bent harmonies. 

It is also danceable, chillable, and extremely f*ckable.

Yakho is a journey into the depths of the jungle, an invitation to a secret ritual. A spiritual union of energies between souls connected through artistic creation. Conceived by YUWAKA, a Dutch nomadic artisan who on his occasion immerses us to the rhythms of dance and melodic textures that dialogue harmoniously between the heat of the sun and the mysterious gazes of the jungle.

YUWAKA is an artist from The Netherlands and went to the DJ school at age of 16 and starting playing the dj decks ever since then. With more than 20 years of experience and countless time on numerous festivals, he gives back his medicine in the form of music. YUWAKA plays organic, deep and tribal music in his own unique form.
