Lockdown for me is a track that hits close to home. G house is a genre in todays day and age that really takes hip hop and brings it into the electronic music world. The streets are an aspect of hip hop that many cannot correlate or really associate with house music. My goal with this song was to bring that real street aspect to life. Heres something different from me. I tried to make a trap remix for this one but felt i was forcing something rather then having ideas come organically. When i first started producing a few years back i use to make house/disco house. I was never able to really nail either genre just because of my skill level at the time. It feels good to be able to nail the sounds i had in my head back then. I don’t know if ill do much of this, im 100% still a trap guy. This was just a lot of fun.
