"also known as malii yorks, I'm an amsterdam based artist who is passionate about making refined ceramics and composing deep rhythms within the spectrum of techno as a genre. 

this recording shows my love for deep percussive techno rhythms and was made in the period when I was moving to another house and therefore had no studio for a while. it was a warm week with high temperatures so I often sat outside on the balcony with a small controller recording mixes. this one contains some of my favs and some tracks of my own."

First instalment of Sonic Spells sees the curator himself, Entire, present his first mix since a very long time. Contains carefully selected pieces that deeply resonate with his soul. Music from Undveld, Skee Mask, Ekin Fil, ENA, Felix Krone, Cloistral, Forest On Stasys, RVSHES, The Vision Reels, DB1, Fresnel Lens, Yosuke Tokunaga, Monic and a fair share of his own (unreleased & released) music.

This is an extended and modified version of his live set "Contemplations On Love" performed on 14.02.2024 at Love Your Soma event held in Transformator, Wrocław.

As a producer, Jaime Romero aka Estrato Aurora has been in the studio for more than two decades working with analogue machines and all sorts of junk… He is also a member of the Pajaro Dune project together with David Ortolá.

The Pauza association presents Les Chaos Ambiants, a festival dedicated to the encounter between electronic music, the visual arts and the rich heritage of Burgundy-Franche-Comté.

This event is designed on a small scale to make it as comfortable as possible to listen, meet and move around, with a single stage to promote emerging and established artists, a natural setting conducive to the discovery of musical works and artistic installations, and an eco-responsible approach to limit its environmental impact.

The project has several objectives : to promote the European and international artistic scene, to stimulate and strengthen the cultural and creative network across the département and the region ; to help promote and showcase the natural and cultural heritage of Burgundy-Franche-Comté ; to support local produce and the local economy.

For Sciama, music is all about creating a world in which the listener can explore the many facets of human emotion—a journey inward that uncovers both the light and dark within us. Melding elements of UK bass music, experimental sound design, and the grey area between techno and drum & bass, Sciama’s work offers a dynamic and immersive experience. Released across respected labels like Auxiliary, OODA, and A Walking Contradiction, each project showcases intricate layers of textured rhythms, deep atmospheres, and cerebral beats that invite introspection and self-discovery.

Every year, the Delayed family invites its dear friends to a weekend getaway nestled in the lush green mountains of Catskill NY. The Barn has always been a very special place and I've met some of my closest friends and collaborates here. Feel very lucky to be a part of such an amazing group of people. And since this spring we are skipping our bi annual trip(busy life) to the mountain, I could not help but share this recording.

We’re delighted to share another great chapter of our Herbarium mix series, this time recorded by @reasphere! 🌸 It’s a journey full of gems from which you can sense that they have been waiting for the right opportunity to pop out in a very special story. Minimalistic yet trippy and deep compositions with very few but perfectly on point placed elements. rea chose Colobanthus Quitensis (also known as the Antarctic pearlwort) as inspiration for his mix.

Here's a little backstory by rea about his choice:
“It’s the the most southern species growing in Patagonia and Southern Antarctica.
Even above the polar circle it’s sometimes too hot for the plant to survive - similar to the selected music it needs a very specific setting and mood to unfold its power.
Enjoy the sharp resilience.”

In his own words: "The mix was recorded in my studio in Berlin. Beginning with slower Dub Techno, it slips into the early, minimalist 85/170 Drum-and-Bass era, showcasing plenty of those formative highlights before closing with authentic Amen Breaks combining with a sound design that actually anticipates the vibe of some of today’s darker techno productions."
