For 135th entry in the Honcho Podcast Series, we welcome @ketia! ketia is an up-to-no-good self-assigned cyborg, has a keen ear for new and exciting music, alongside a curious, invested approach to community building within the Lisbon and Berlin club scene. Known for their infamous intimate invite-only kit ket events in Lisbon and one of the glitches behind the label and collective, 'kaptcha'. In Berlin, where they reside, they’re deep and sweetly entangled with the modern rituals happening at Berlin’s new ambient listening bar kwia – ketia helps hold space for a different way of connecting through high fidelity sound and intimacy outside of the usual club dynamics. 

Sonically enticed by syncopated drums and twisted rhythms, driven house with groove and breaks married with rave nostalgia. ketia thrives on genre-bending beats connected through vocal-infused tracks that allow for unique storytelling.

Neighbor is a queer, fun-loving dancing fanatic originally from Centerville, Tennessee. After 19 years soaking up the vibes in Nashville, they made the move to Atlanta, now proudly calling it home. Though their only formal music background was singing bass in show choir and drumming in middle school, Neighbor knows how to work a dance floor—bringing infectious energy and movement wherever they play.



Blending Indie Dance, Electronica, House, and Techno into a nostalgic yet future-facing “new retro” sound, Neighbor breathes life into clubs and house parties with syncopated, funky rhythms and a deep love for communal joy. A member of the DJ collective “Let’s Dance” with co-founders Mike Bradley and Mark McEwan, they also draw inspiration and guidance from a wide spectrum of local and global artists, including Wild Cherry (ATL), Roi Perez (Berlin), Berth (Toronto), A-Ron (Nashville), Jane Dupree (Nashville), Alfonso Tan (Seattle), and Massimiliano Pagliara (Berlin).



Neighbor began mixing in March 2024 and made their club debut one year later at Georgia Beer Garden in Atlanta. They got their start spinning at house and pool parties for friends—learning to read the room, embrace mistakes, and connect through sound. “My goal is for guests to leave my sets feeling lighter, freer, and more in love with themselves and the people around them,” they say. Whether you’re there to shake loose or slip into a dream state, Neighbor delivers a dance floor experience that feels like both a reunion and a revelation.

Lunchbox Candy is all about community, diversity, radical self expression and curating an experience, an energy that connects and moves people. 

Over the years we’ve been expanding and experimenting with different sounds without getting stuck in a box - this is a little taste of what you would expect to hear at one of our parties. 

It features a wide variety of textures and sounds, steering away from specific genres, highlighting Queer, FLINTA, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists, producers, collectives and record labels - Chloe Thevenin’s Lumiere Noir, Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondent, Major Records, MARICAS, Josh Caffe, Dornika, DJ Babatr, CCL, D Tiffany, Roza Terenzi, Kim Swim, Steffi x Virginia and more.

It gives a nod to our past - specifically to ballroom culture with Alexander Skancke’s ‘You Get A Two’ and The Paradise Garage with a remake of Yazoo’s ‘Situation’ - 90s inspired New York house, sex dripping 808s with Josh Caffe and LSDXOXO, and then going down a more experimental booty shaking route with bass, breakbeat, dembow and even drum n’ bass.  

For many years queer parties focused on specific sounds and genres and rarely veered off into uncharted territories. It’s so refreshing to now witness so many different collectives embracing such diversity of genres from across the globe and from all eras, adding their own take and delivering something new, unique and exciting.
