Starting off his music life in the South of France in small clubs being mentored by various rising French DJ’s, Alex came to love the Progressive scene more and more, influenced by the likes of Tiesto and William Orbit and a passion for Classical Music the Trance, House and Tech genres started to form sub genres and so on... Now today having the likes of Dubstep, Tech House and Progressive House there is so much choice for DJ’s.
Progressive House, Electro and Tech House pulling on Alex’s heart strings he tends to stick to these when performing. Moving from Bordeaux clubs like Millennium, La Movida, Le Griot and Le Windsor he started to build a small but good repertoire, unfortunately life got in the way and DJing got left behind for a life in the military, every now and again veering back towards the decks, watching from a distance as the whole world developed technologically around him he was reunited with a childhood friend Julien Fatin, later to become know by his alias Skool Jay and performing at international beat box competitions and scratch championships in Paris, they created a partnership called Symbiose who in their young wisdom and lack of knowledge and experience created some rudimental beats. From RnB/Hip Hop/Rap to hard trance using Alex’s fathers very well equipped studio. Bringing local rappers and backing vocalists they began to achieve more than was expected of them, once again for Alex life just got in the way again and travelling again to do work winter seasons in the French Alps he started to realise that the niche for getting known here was massive as a DJ. Coming from nowhere and knowing no one was difficult so a fulltime job was required to support this, from Rep to Resort Manager and from Avoriaz to Tignes, Alex worked his way around the Alps putting word and music about in the mountains. He fast became recognised with international tourists from all walks of life started to notice the memories this talented DJ was creating.
The summer of 2011 was the year that DJing became full time and no longer amateur, resident DJ for one of the busiest night clubs in France Alex began an eventful season mixing for the rich, famous and influential people in the South France Beach Resort of Hossegor. People from all over the globe come here to holiday, surf or see the World Surf Championships.
Here it took off for Alex, being noticed by Quicksilver, DC, Rockfood Bar, Heineken France and Red bull France he took to mixing five days a week and was free to mix for these companies at events on the remaining two. No longer the warm up, but the main event Alex built a credible set and a good following, shown on French Television mixing for Mister France, France’ Top Model on International Television mixing for Quicksilver and DC for the World Surf Championships and for the Red bull X Fighters in front of 17 thousand people... The summer was moving leaps and bounds in the right direction. Finishing his season with Le Bakoua Night Club and Rockfood Bar he was offered dates throughout the winter in the Alps for the Winter X Games in Tignes for Quicksilver, DC and Red bull.
However before setting off to the mountains he flew to Miami and was Resident DJ for a month at the prestigious Mansion Night Club, Miami at the invitation of the owner who was a contact from the summer. Mixing Thursdays for the Mansion he gained more knowledge and experience and was given the opportunity to warm up for Sebastian Ingrosso. Leaving the USA with a smile and valuable experience he flew direct to the French Ski Resort of Tignes where he was resident DJ of the busy party bar Le Couloir and resident and consultant for The Melting Pot night club. Working hard, partying hard and boarding hard was the life he led for the next five months. Creating some of the biggest and best parties the Alps have ever seen he fast became requested and wanted in different
resorts, trying to please and DJing from Le Yak in Avoriaz to Dicks Tea Bar in both Meribel and Val d’Isere to nearly every bar in Tignes. Then finally confirmation for the line up came through for the X Games and alongside Plump DJ’s, Tek One, Eve, DJ Fly, Sean Paul and various others Alex was in the line up, so for 4 days he ran from Saloon Bar to Couloir, to Main stage by the games to the Melting Pot he mixed from 1pm till 7am every day.
Summer 2012 was an Ibiza year and travelling there, working security to pay the bills he could concentrate on getting more valuable experience and mix with some of the residents and long time lovers of the White Isle, being given the chance to mix for the opening of Eden, with Alex Ellenger and Nathan Viva, to mix alongside and back to back with Jay Moore, Vicky Devine and Sam Devine gave him the little boost of confidence needed, he went on to regularly mix in Hush, Eden, and Play 2 in Ibiza and build a strong fan base, watching, hearing and partying with some of the world’s finest really gave him the will and want to fight through this ever growing world.
Mixing with and for some big names and clubs has given Alex the passion and ability to become a full time DJ and his skills and technical mixing just shows that his experience is well earned and genuine. Remaining a CD DJ and performing for all types of crowds he has grown to be a competent and diverse DJ with the ability to mix RnB, Hip-hop, Dance, Commercial, Progressive House, Tech House and Electro throw in a bit of Dubstep and you have a talented young DJ. Though he is capable of mixing all types he tends to stick to the Progressive, Tech and House Scenes and heavily influenced by the exceptional talent in the EDM world today.
