Zach Ambroise was born in Haiti and immigrated to the United States when he was two years old. As a child, he was able to assemble different cultural characteristics to create a unique style in his playing. Ambroise studied saxophone at Morgan State University (Baltimore, MD) to receive his bachelor’s degree in 2013; and continued his schooling as he received his master’s degree in Jazz Studies from The University of the Arts (Philadelphia, PA.)

Zach was fortunate to go on tour with the ‘Morgan State University Jazz Combo’ to Colombia, South America in 2009. He was a featured artist when he performed with the Morgan State University choir before Michelle Obama’s speech for her husbands’ 2012 presidential campaign. Also, his involvement in gospel music has a great influence in his playing which has lead him to perform with artists such as Maurette Brown Clark, Jonathan Nelson & Jason Nelson. He now lives in Los Angeles, CA..
