This talk digs into Pittsburgh’s queer history, noting both methods for understanding and interpreting these histories and also for keeping them alive in the present. 

Bio – Harrison Apple, PhD, is an artist, archivist, and historian of Pittsburgh after-hours night clubs. They are the cofounder of the Pittsburgh Queer History project and Associate Director of the Frank-Ratchye STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon University.

Pop Zone: Stella Explorer

Tony G is a DJ and Producer newly based in Chicago after relocating from New York City in 2023. You never know what you’ll get when Tony G is at the controls - his unpredictable DJ sets reflect his kaleidoscopic taste and years of diligent record collecting. As a producer, he has released music on Sorry Records, Eat Dis, Eto Ano, Toucan Sounds, and Super Tuff, and he co-runs Sorry Records with his friend Nick Boyd. 

Notes on the Mix ///
"This was a mix I recorded on a whim one night shortly before moving out of New York. I was trying to sell some records before I moved and thought I’d go through some of the house records on my shelves that I wasn’t super familiar with. This mix was the result… safe to say i didn’t sell any of these records! 

PS: I recorded this mix a few months ago and went back just recently to figure out the tracklist.. most of them I remembered pretty easily, a few took some deeper digging through the record shelf, and there’s one track that, as of this mix being released, I cannot ID! It’s on the tip of my tongue.. maybe i’ll come back and update the tracklist at some point. Anyways, hope you enjoy!"
