April of this year saw the return and relaunch of Mauro Picotto and Riccardo Ferri's Alchemy imprint. Having taken six months off label duties and naturally wound things down on the release front Mauro and Riccardo decided the time was right to reignite the Alchemy flame and haven it burn bright under the same banner as their successful music events. Today its the musical fire that burns brightest as Mauro & Ricky unveil the first music from their forthcoming album 'From Heart To Techno'.
Since the March release of 'Riff' on Cocoon the Italian duo have found a new energy and inspiration that has taken them back into the familiar surroundings of the studio. The Landscape EP is the first taste what we can expect from the new long-player and from the opening bars of the title track we're under no illusion that this Picotto & Ferri at their very best. From the melodic and rapid charge of Landscape to the bubbling acid lines of Safari, via the fierce and relentless pounding of From Heart To Techno, the Alchemy bosses have serviced up the sweetest first taste of their magical techno elixir.

It’s been one hell of a year for Paradox since we started our Techno focused webzine project. Loads of great musical connections with artists from all over the world that made our artistic network grow more and more. We wanted to thank everyone who supported us since the beginning so we thought about a special podcast series to celebrate our first birthday. Each week of november, we will host an artist who will represent a different continent. First one comes from South-America, and more precisely from the most prolific scene at the moment in Techno, Argentina. He works under the alias of Pulse One and his sound has been clearly one of the most fascinating to our mind lately. His silky sonic layers mixed with some very complex rhythm patterns were released on some of the greatest cutting edge labels around such as Full Panda and Granulart. This special mix he made for our celebration series is a journey in a techni that is magical by its textures and smart by its structure. A very interesting interview with Pulse One will follow later this week. Our next stop will focus on Asia, with one of his most active member.

Asher Swisa, aka DJ Skazi,is a world renowned electronic music DJ/producer.

famous for his unique style which combines hard rock influences, live instruments with electro trance music. Skazi plays live guitar in his shows and he’s very communicative and connected to his audience.

skazi used to bring his live orchestra in order to give his crowd a supreme experience.

Skazi’s live band used to include Asaf BiVass known as “Bbass” as a keyboard player( Not longer part of the skazi band live act ) as well as other great live musicians. Skazi hosted live Igor Cavalera (sepeltura) and other famous performers.

since the era of the “superstar Dj” began Skazi’s performance evolved into a one man show playing manly his hits and original music.

Skazi began his musical career as a young punk rocker, he formed a local band with three friends and they began performing around Israel enjoying some success in the Israeli punk scene. later Asher became extremely fascinated with a new style of music, which was in its very early formation, what we know today as electronic music. asher experimented with his riffs and beats, writing and producing what became his first album “ANIMAL” who made him an overnight world success . forming a new genre known as psy-trance.

since “Animal” Skazi released number of albums that have become a hit instantaneously, such as “Storm”, “Zoo”1,2,3, “Total Anarchy”, “my way”. some of his biggest hits include :” Hit and run”, “I wish” , “Satisfaction" remix for Benny Benassi and more.

Murphy’s Law, to the brooding synth of Poseidon by Ukrainian duo Woo York, the realisation of Afterlife
utopia is upon us. The repetitive, mesmerising synth and effective reverb that Somne creates with Triangle
is an odyssey within itself. From there, John Hester’s expertly woven ‘Logan’ is a feverish techno stab that
transverses through the emotional senses, transitioning to Locked Groove’s adroitly crafted Emeralds, to
Ryan James Ford’s ambient, albeit percussive, techno cut Toree Bahrstad. Die Wiederkehr is the outcome
of Obscure Shape & SHDW’s collaboration, which incorporates facets of techno and trance that have
been shaped with real guile and finesse. Mind Against round off the compilation with Gravity - a
mystifying ambience and a fitting title as we touch back down to planet earth.
