It has been a while! SAMA is back on his label Maximalist_Minimalist after 1,5 years of silence. This time it's 3 hard-hitting and functional tracks, all heavily played and road-tested by a small handful of artists over the course of the last year. 

Finishing off the EP, 'I Might've Misunderstood' is the least menacing of the three is a powerful track with tight drums, SAMA-esque bass growls and a thin metallic lead tip-toeing throughout. This track was also the track made for SAMA's Masterclass on SINEE.

The artwork, just like all previous artworks, was painted by Argentinian painter Ric Santesteban.

Damon Wild - Avion (Marcel Dettmann Remix)

Released on Slater’s iconic ‘Freek Funk’ album on NovaMute - one of the most seminal techno albums of the 90s - ‘Love’ finally gets the remix treatment it deserves more than two decades after its initial release.

Marcel Dettmann provides two takes on Love, his ‘City’ remix features a cacophony of metallic rhythm, ebbing pads and plenty of swing whilst mantra-like vocals operate throughout, followed by the thudding ‘Black Glove’ remix with its murky tones and rattling effects.

Recently relocated in Berlin, Biri’s new wave of solo productions have also found a home on Len Faki’s Figure Jams imprint, while he released on Derrick May’s Transmat with his long-term partner Deep’a. Together they run their lovingly curated Black Crow label which continues to promote a defiant strand of Detroit-indebted techno and dubbed-out electronics.
