ABOUT THE EP:

" Zama " means sunrise in ancient mayan language and it's the original name of Tulum for being one of the places where you can first see the sunrise in this region of Mexico. A privileged port trade community used to live here long time ago, related with magical-religious rituals, arts and astronomic observation, specially Venus, representative star of Kukulkán (mayan feathered serpent god).

" Pakal " is the name of the ancient mayan ruler who led a period of peace and prosperity in his territory for decades. The mayan people understood him as a representative of the divine in the terrenal world. Some theories say that Pakal had the knowledge to travel to outer space and also through time.

" Bakhalal " is the original mayan name of Bacalar, the stunning 7 colors lagoon in Mexico. Given to its privileged position, Bakhalal becomes an important trade point on the route that stretched as far as Honduras, frequented by pirates, privateers and buccaneers.

Zama EP is my personal gratitude to the whole mayan culture and all the magical moments this place, wich i could call my second home, gived to me; forever thankful.

"Heartbreak Hotel" is a double twelve-inch release with eight tracks of melancholic dance noir set in smoke-filled darkness. Acid bobbles, distorted strings and echoed guitars are mangled and layered on machine beats and disco drums.
