Denise Rabe is a Berlin based DJ and producer. A true veteran selector, Rabe has commanded the booths of the most respected institutions, including Berghain, Tresor and De School, cementing her reputation as an artist who creates worlds rather than just mixing tracks. Her studio output possesses an intoxicating depth and precision, with releases on the likes of Stroboscopic Artefacts, her own Rabe imprint and 30D Records, including her very recently released outstanding debut album ‘Transition’ - a complex, high-fidelity deep space odyssey - essential listening. 

For this session, Rabe orchestrates a sonic narrative that exists in the liminal space between contrasting forces, effortlessly balancing the realm between darkness and light, melancholy and euphoria. The mix unfolds as a dark, hypnotic, and richly textured deep mind trip, where industrial rhythms are softened by depth and nuance. This is techno distilled to its primal core—raw, driving, and beautifully complex.

Ever since we heard @monophonikmusic perform his live set at Mala Junta in June, we knew that Jai is an artist who consistently pushes the boundaries of what playing live in a club can feel like. The perfect moment to experience this again arrived in Jai’s natural habitat, India, during the packed release party for his and Kohra’s debut EP on Harmony, held at Juna Club in Goa.

It was one of those warm nights where the energy is already buzzing before the music even starts. Our own Alfred Czital set the tone beautifully, and as Monophonik stepped into the booth, the room was already humid and moving as one. Within minutes, his production completely took over the space. His live set unfolded with raw intensity and surgical precision, weaving trance lines, broken rhythms and hypnotic sequences into a full-body experience.

Easily one of the most impressive live sets we’ve heard in a long time, and we’re more than happy to share the recording with you.
