Timezones 2: Šabac, Belgrade, Zurich – Playlist: Contemporary Music

Composed in 1998, De l’épaisseur ("From the Thickness")represents Phillipe Leroux's musical reaction to the sudden death of another French contemporary composer, Gérard Grisey. "Thickness" in the title refers to a forceful cluster, which continuously interrupts the flow of the piece, picturing the abrupt end of Grisey's life.
