Geboren ist Manu in Asturien (Nordspanien), wo er die Musk quasi in die Wiege gelegt bekam und schon von Kindesbeinen an ein leidenschaftlicher Musiker war. Nach zwei Jahren in der Türkei, die seinen Sound prägend beeinflusst haben, zog es ihn 2013 nach Berlin, wo Manu in der Underground Szene Fuß fasste und die Partyreihe Ruhetag_Sessions mit gründete. Er liebt sphärische Sounds, groovige Basslines, fette Beats und ansteckende Melodien. Dieser Künstler weiß, wie man sich in der elektronischen Szene durch ständiges Experimentieren mit einer unterbewussten Harmonie durch Rhythmus, Melodie und Bewegung abhebt.

It was a memorable night, way back then in the 90ies, cult label Strictly Rhythm (@strictlyrhythm) put on a big show at the Docks (Reeperbahn Hamburg) and inspired Mumbai (India) born birkenlauber to start his deejaying career. Driven by his idols, such as Armand van Helden, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles and more, he developed a huge love for house music. Nevertheless deejaying stayed a hobby as his career as a copy writer was the focus.

Since 2012 he’s back to more deejaying again. Also his sound has advanced and moved on – these days birkenlauber’s sets are a skillful mix of pounding deep house, melodic tech house and straight techno, ranging from 118 to 130 bpm. Making remixes for numerous other artists he also made himself a name as a talented producer. Under the name of MOB MOB on British lable Kingdom Kome Cuts (@kingdom-kome-cuts) his first EP was distributed in 2014. Further releases followed on Audio Safari (@audiosafariofficial) and Clubland Records (@clubland-records), for example. His release „Raw Like Uschi EP“ (Kingdom Kome Cuts) climbed to # 49 on the Beatport album charts of the indie / nu-disco genre.

Niels hält gern im Hintergrund die Fäden zusammen. Er ist A&R von Moonbootique Records (ja genau von den Moonbootica Jungs) und Gründer, sowie A&R von seinem eigenen Labelbaby Enchant Audio.

Mit seinem eigentlichen Namen Niels Petersen versteckt er sich nicht mehr hinter einem Künstlernamen und präsentiert sich echt, menschlich und nah. 
Wir finden genau das hört man dem Set auch an. Positive Stimmung, die einfach im Gehör hängen bleibt.
