This selection represents the very first official compilation 
of rominimal music ever released on CD and it is a beautiful project 
whose main purpose is to promote the music we love and the kind of 
work we do in this field as a label. 
     The name TELURIAN comes from tellurium, as a tribute to its origin. 
      We are fascinated by its history, background, name, etymology, structure, 
uniqueness, sparkling, properties, utilities and scarcity - 
this way Telurian was born!
       The tracklist includes all the artists of our agency plus 
a few special guests who we appreciate and with whom we have a long and 
lucrative colaboration. We have tried to cover all the sub-styles and trends 
in the rominimal scene nowadays and to deliver the highest level in music 
and artwork - we hope you’ll love it!

Roche Madame, a natural harbour for a crop of artists for whom sounds, histories and futures dance together. A vinyl only imprint, whose ascetic designs reflect the inspiringly sparse landscape of its spiritual home. Fronted by Cesar Merveille, the imprint readies its third outing since its 2016 inception.

RM003, a collaborative effort between Sam O’Somen of Masomenos and label boss Cesar Merveille under his C.S.R alias, was born out of a modular jam direct from Merveille’s Berlin-based studio, resulting in two expansive tracks notably performed via masterful machine improvisation. 

The record’s A side ‘Le Myth Errand’ takes a direct approach with heavy hitting drums and a tumbling fluidity that works perfectly in any club context. Hypnotic pads run side by side with intricate sequencing patterns, eventually making way for a characteristically 80’s synth-line, rich in analog saturations, alongside mangled crowd-chants and spoken French samples that warp in and out of focus. 

‘Amare Basse’ takes the flip; a track progressive in nature with delicate textures ever-evolving around serene chord stabs and a rhythmically propulsive bassline. Skipping hats enter the fray alongside clinically placed drum-hits, further establishing the song’s rolling groove.

The combo from Iasi - Romania is one of the true representatives of the new wave of rominimal. Straight forward, persuasive beats put you in a nice trance capable of taking you to the stars and back with ease. The track seems simple in construction yet it is so floorfriendly and catchy, it wouldn’t surprise us to be one of the hits of this summer.

zlene aka Bäcksvart combines with the artist, friend and Stockholm local Mathias Hinds to inaugurate the new sub-label with their ‘Djup Trolling’ single which is about exploring the unknown with consistency and precision. Seaweed is inspired by Sweden’s nature and marine life as the label’s studio is located right by the Baltic shore, as they show their appreciation for the ocean with organic samples and recordings from both above and below the waters which have become a continual feature and theme within their work

British producer and RLZ label boss, Rowlanz provides an effervescent remix as the minimal aesthetics bounce delightfully off the glistening synths and intricate, subtle melodies.

Seaweed Rhythm has seen first-hand how much of the oceans wildlife has now disappeared and wants to give back to the animals and waters sampled in their work, therefore they’ve decided to donate 50% of all digital sales to various water wildlife foundations and projects.
