A long time purveyor of minimal house, techno and Romanian grooves.

His debut "Astral Travel E.P" was released in June 2020 on Øscillate records, making it into Beatport's top 100 minimal releases within it's first week, with tracks from that release receiving support from;

Richie Hawtin, Paco Osuna, Marco Carola, Nick Warren, Denis Andreev, Chrissy Hope, Andrea Ljekaj and Gabriel I amongst others.

He has also released tracks on Sólido & more recently Saraw Records.

SZS [Synapses Podcast 0035/2022]

Diirus combines the minimal sound with groove and his typical dark element. Where you find yourself tripping with the atmosphere and dancing until late morning, you probably caught one of his performs. On his real name, Darius, powerful inspired by his favorite artist Rhadoo, is playing music since 2019 at local clubs from his hometown Craiova, he shared the decks with: Nu Zau, Kozo, Lizz, Crihan, Ada Kaleh, Funk E and started experimenting with production on 2020. Diirus recently started a new electronic music lable Orpheus.

Some of us discovered music and never let go, always yearning to feel the next release on our ears from our favourite artists and bands. @katharine-motiontheory is one of those DJ’s who is always seeking, and we are lucky to have her. Originally started out playing deep house & techno, until seeing Raresh play at the legendary Liverpool night Chibuku in 2009 got him hooked on the minimal/Romanian sound he's so passionate about today!
