Done for Disquiet Junto 0610

This was fun. This is mostly a quick sample of a percussive 4//lIGhT's 60 bpm Stomp bit, repeated excessively, with a tiny guitar-sounding bit from @tristan_louth_robins 's Refactored Drift. Filled out with @XHG 's Acrostic Speed Limit and some from a 4th one, but I forget.

Instructions:

Step 1: In the previous Disquiet Junto project, participants recorded a variety of tracks at a standard pace of 60 BPM. Listen to the resulting material on the Lines discussion board and the SoundCloud playlist:

Step 2: Select two or more tracks from the provided ones, slow them to half their original pace — that is, to 30 BPM — and use editing techniques to combine them into one new piece of music.

Drums, guitar, pigs
Drum part put together in Protools with 909 and acoustic samples. It was originally based around 9 beats at 120bpm giving a 4.5 sec loop. This fits exactly 40times in a 180sec piece. In the end I did 4 versions of this loop and distributed them randomly to get an unsettled, fidgety  feel. The prominent section (min 1) the drums are put through a longish slap echo feedback around 60%. In mins 2+3 echo is cut and treble rolled off and of course the volume dropped.
The guitar  parts were played into a  line 6 looper and then fed through a tremolo, the rate was based around the 120 bpm. There are two guitar parts with different trem rates. I thought these would  merge into a more organic shimmery drone but they still sound quite separate (spoiling the 3x3 concept a bit.)
The pigs and children were recorded on a mobile phone at a city farm. I would have liked to have accentuated the poor quality of the recording in some way.ring or bitcrush type thing but ran out of computer. 
Whole mix put through reverb.

Interested in collaborative projects -  The more inappropriate the better.  London based. home built noise toys and circuits, broken tape recorders, hex bugs in biscuit tins. Field recordings of air conditioning outlets.broken cassettes. and maybe the odd bit of class gear.
