Alex Mac & Zeebra Kid - Party Proactive - 7th Birthday Extended Mix

Encoded was launched way back in Jan ’08 with a simple mission – to release the strongest tracks possible from owner Scott Genetik and his favoured artists. What began as a rites of passage for his own productions alongside top draw remix work by the likes of Olly Perris, K-complex and Iridium will have delivered sixty sixty tracks by the end of 2011, a Hard House sister label Encoded NRG and now an album, to be promoted by a huge launch party in conjunction with Southend Promotion Concept, along with a planned album tour. While Encodeds back catalogue boasts tracks from artists across the spectrum of hard dance, the choice of who to mix the compilation was ironically no choice at all; at Encoded HQ Alex Mac & Zeebra Kid had long been thought of as one of the very best hard dance acts out there whose seamless, key driven mixing instantly made them stand out from any line up. During the course of three Encoded releases and a number of successful collabs with Scott Genetik a close working relationship was formed which has remained as strong as ever today. We at Encoded hope the clubbers out there will enjoy what they have put together in this mini mix as much as we did.

Alex Mac & Zeebra Kid - Hard Trance - September 2010

Darren John Ditchman aka (ZEEBRA KID) once part of the production duo 
Alex Mac & Zeebra Kid, they have played all over the UK for some of the top promotions and have had numerous radio plays and number 1 hits. Alex MacLennan aka (Alex Mac) decided to take a rest from the scene. Zeebra Kid is now djing on his own. This is nothing new as he has now been djing for as long as he can remember (20 years). He found his true love was dance music aged 15 where his journey began. It started with local parties with a few good friends at their local rugby club which used to go on until the following afternoon. Heading off to the valleys of Wales near Llandrindod Wells with a sound system for the Bank Holiday weekend debaucheries. It was not unusual for Darren to play a 16 hour set from dusk till dawn.
Darren then moved onto starting his own promotion called SHIVA Lords of the Dance.  This was usually on a three monthly basis at Electrowerkz Angel and after great success turned into monthly parties at Club Life formally known as The Factory.  Through these parties Darren’s name started to become more recognized as he met more people in the dance scene, he began to get invites to play for many of the parties around that time. With his obvious knowledge of djing and music, Darren decided that he wanted a chance to show himself as a producer.  He started by doing this on a PC just playing around with Cubase.  This then moved onto working with the likes of Greg Brookman, Nick Sagar-house, Scott Genetik, Adrenaline Dept, Nicky D, Costa Pantazis, Pero etc.  The studio time began paying off as he was signed to the mighty Impact Recordings. The first release went straight to number one. Darren learned quickly apart from playing out at parties, making the music was becoming a big passion. He carried on in the studio and had many hits along the way which all were placed in the top 10 Hard Dance List. With growing respect from the biggest names in the scene including his hero the hard trance legend Phil Reynolds. 
Darren is a great believers of letting his music do the talking, from his mixes and productions to his live performances jam packed full of energy. He is often going just as mad behind the decks as the crowd he is playing too. 
Darren knows that where he is today in the music industry is partly down to his family, friends and fan base that have supported him over the years and hopefully more to come.
