It seems to me I know what the future holds in store for me today
But if I had a choice, I’d rather stay away

You’ll call me on my phone to say
May all your dreams come true
But, darling, there is a clue:
They’ll never come true 

Do you remember? Once we were eager to grow out of teen’s clothes
Now I’m an ember glowing and whining where’s life I composed

My paper friends
Paying me the same compliments
But heart remains frozen
It’s not the life I’ve chosen 

I've been gnawed by tears I keep gulping back
Adulthood is a far cry from what I expected
The only currency is time and I’m committing a crime

I’m getting older 
Oh I can't bear the sight of this aging face 
It’s my birthday party, tonight I gonna throw shapes x2

The alarm for six a.m. 
Gulped some coffee and cold food again
Rushed to work by the public bus 
Got a couple of projects to discuss

Oh I’m in charge of my life, I wish I could turn back time
Being the focus of attention doesn’t bring me satisfaction

Where did we turn the wrong way?
Wallowing in self-pity and despair
Due to routine hair turns gray
I tried to force youth to stay
