All good things come to an end, but this is also the beginning 👀 For the end of our streaming series "Waiting for NACHTIVILLE" we invited Nachti darling Job Jobse @jobjobse. Job is the perfect cast for a fitting end and at the same time for the new beginning of our festival at the Baltic Sea. He has already proven that his knowledge of 90s trance is almost infinite and over the years he has earned a permanent place in the middle of the Nachti family. With what was mostly a full and fruitful year for us with many beautiful moments, we now turn our eyes forward to what is looking to be a very exciting year for us at Phonica as we walk into our 20th year of being alive. 2022 saw our mix series get even more killer contributions from artists like Paramida, Sally C, Fred P, Eden Burns, Alex Kassian, Erol Alkan and more. 2023's series line up plans to keep moving up and we have opened this years mix season in the capable hands of two of the finest DJ/Producers doing it right now. Bringing nothing but powerful, euphoric and goddess energies it can only be Octo Octa and Eris Drew of T4T Luv NRG. Amazingly celebrated for their strand of psychedelic, rolling progressive, trancey-house and break rhythms we can't think of two better selector's to take on our series. With an excellently curated compilation and mix for our good friends at Fabric last year as well as two banging cassettes on T4T we can't begin to imagine what this year has in-store for Maya and Eris but we have no doubt it's even more on the upward trajectory! Most likely to the heavens and back! We had a chat with Maya and Eris to see what they have been up to lately and little about how they approached the mix.

BBC R1 Residency - Paramida - Introduction

You might describe Cormac as a late bloomer. Or he might describe himself that way. Though he's been in the dance music game for a long time—a regular at Trash and Nag Nag Nag, and a resident and booker at the old Sunday WetYourSelf! parties at fabric—it's only more recently that he's come into a sound that he can call his own, something that connects more clearly with who he is. (These days, you're more likely to find him closing Panorama Bar.)

That sound is rooted in the queer history so important to him. You could call his <i>RA</i> Podcast hi-NRG, to be general. It's that vibrant, pounding, melodic and synthetic sound that came out of the post-disco early '80s, combining the flair of disco with the strut of Italo. There's new and old here, because Cormac is a champion of evolving iterations of the genre. Over this two and a half hours, you'll hear Patrick Cowley and Madonna, but also a whole lot of other, less obvious stuff too. We could go on, but Cormac explains himself pretty eloquently in the interview below. Two hot tips: watch out for his label, Polari Records, and his upcoming Queerly Beloved podcast series, where he talks to queer artists about their relationships with music.

Max and Mitch have rolled out a slew of belters since founding their label in 2015, and run a self-titled party series at La Cheetah Club in Glasgow. As a DJ duo the pair is known for ripping up dance floors with hard hitting selections. In this mix they start out showing a subtler side with a delectable assortment of atmospheric house before shifting gears into deeper and harder territory by way of electro, acid, and techno.

Harmonie bedeutet im Einklang sein, übereinstimmen oder auch komplementär zueinander schwingen. Harmonie/Harmonik findet sich in zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen, der Kunst und auch in der Natur wieder. 
Zwischen Menschen entsteht Harmonie wenn sich zwei gut verstehen, sie einen draht zueinander haben oder einfach die "Chemie stimmt". Solch "harmonische Beziehungen" resultieren aus gemeinsamen Interessen, einem ähnlichen Geschmack oder weil sich beide gut ergänzen.
Ein Künstler erschafft ein harmonisches Werk wenn sich sowohl Form, als auch Farbgebung nahtlos ineinander fügen. Musiker erzeugen harmonische Musik durch die spezielle Anordnung von Tönen. 

Meister der Harmonik jedoch, ist die Natur. In jeder Pflanze und allen Lebewesen, seien sie noch so klein, kann man sie entdecken. Mathematisch ausgedrückt ist der goldene Schnitt die Formel für Harmonie. Und genau jenes Ordnungprinzip ist charakteristisch für Mutter Erde.

Das nachfolgende Set von Nõpi ist Harmonie pur. Jedes Lied passt zum nächsten und gemeinsam ergeben sie ein rundes und stimmiges Gesamtbild.

Bio:
Borella is a Toronto based DJ and producer known for her melodically dynamic sound that mostly falls on
the darker side.
She took her very first music lessons at the age of 5. Later on at the age of 12 she took her first guitar
lessons and pursued with classical and Spanish training.
Her love for electronic music developed in her teens. After digging in the underground scene for a few
years, Borella found herself drawn to the deeper journey-like sounds that spoke a slightly more complex
language than others.
