Since last summer, Belgian brothers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have seen a career trajectory that has to-date surpassed all of their previous years. DJ Hell is one of the true legends of Techno and House music. And when he asked me if I wanted to remix one track of his concept album „Zukunftmusik“ (which is by the way a genius name) I was not hesitating. 
The track has a certain melancholic atmosphere that I wanted to save also in the remix. And also the lyrics remember us not to forget where our an important part of our electronic music culture comes from: from gay culture and parties.

I got asked to write something for the score of a science fiction film last year. The first thing I came up with was this futuristic instrumental that was a bit of a departure from my normal sound, but I loved it so much that I kept it for my own project and turned it into PEOPLE SAY. The upcoming album is all about pushing things forward, sonically and musically, taking things into the FUTURE in the broadest sense of the word. It's been a fan favorite ever since I dropped it live for the first time and I am excited to show a different side of myself as a producer and artist.
 
It was great working with the talented Paije on vocals, he really took the song to the next level and brings across the message loud and clear: always stay true to yourself...no matter what the PEOPLE SAY.

Why Deep & Sexy? That’s what people every now and then ask me. The answer is as simple as the question. I try to bring you close to your core through touching you deep down there in your heart. What’s better to get there through lovely sexy vibes? 6 years ago I was still only playing in Holland and played often together with an MC (MC Haits) who also travels the world now spreading love through his vocals. He was the one who always came to me and literally kept repeating himself by the words: you play such f**cking Deep & Sexy tunes like Solomun. So a year later when I started my podcast series I already had the name of my podcast series. Next month I will bring you a more energetic/dancy/clubby version of what I do when I play in nightclubs so you also have a feel of what I do when the night is falling and the sun is down.
