I an I am blessed to announce the release of a new album on KundaLion Records from the 1st August 2014 entitled 'Live In Budapest'. Recorded on the 21st March/ Spring Solstice 2014 in Budapest, it captures the essence of the mantras live and stripped down to their bare core and raw devotion. Some unrecorded mantras, which have been played for many years on the live circuit, were finally captured that evening and have made it onto this musical offering.

´´SINGING BOWLS UNDERWATER´´ Sampling Pack

Sampling Pack contains a big amount (96 samples) long from 10 - 31 seconds. These samples were recorded by moving the microphone below the level of the water, after we strucked the bowl with the striking tool. In this way the recordings got different shape, length and tone, compared if we would make recordings above the level of the water. Singing Bowl Sounds got in these way softer and smoother sounds, which is an advantage, if we use these sounds for later mixes with other types of sounds or post productions. 

The whole amount of the package is  219 MB. Samples are converted in format of Standard CD Quality.

I am honored to have teamed up with the Grammy-Award winning woodwind player Nancy Rumbel and my beloved long-time friend  Celtic harpist David Michael to create a unique new World Fusion sonic journey, entitled "Confluence" - the newest release from my recording studio.

An abundance of riches are added by a talented cast of our friends: Michael Mandrell (guitar), Richard Russell (sarode), Sean Frenette (bass), Mark Eubanks (Oregon Symphony’s long-time principal bassoonist), and Steve Gorn (Grammy-Award winning bansuri flutist.)

I'm sharing the title track of Confluence here as an invitation to listen further. This album has so many flavors and textures, which I hope will guide you on a timeless journey to the far reaches of your imagination...

Asato Ma Sadgamaya

This recording was made in the Vigeland Mausoleum in Oslo, a place known for its incredible acoustics. Here I'm playing the Kamancheh, one of the predecessors of the violin, an ancient bowed string instrument from Persia. I feel that the discovery of that instrument brought me a bit closer to some of the more subtle frequencies I’m reaching for in music. 

While I was playing there was a strong rain shower coming down on the roof of the Mausoleum, and at first I thought that would make the recording useless, but it turned out that the soft rushing of the rain in the background actually added a beautiful high frequency continuo to the music.
