A Satirical song about  how the American president NIXON was welcomed in Egypt with all the protocol in 1974.

I  just added some percussion to Maryam s voice .
Her power and charisma revives this song in a very modern way.
I don t know if i will add anything to it ... i ll let her decide ...

This electronic audio-collage mixes the voice of the late Edward Said with excerpts from Che Guevara's 1964 speech at the United Nations. Martin Luther King once wrote: "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere" (Letter from Birmingham Jail, April 16th 1963). Edward Said and Che Guevara, in very different ways, pushed for the universal values of justice, freedom, equality and most importantly solidarity between peoples of the world in standing up united against injustice.

This is a demo i recorded for Danny Baladi in 2009 .

It s a remix of Allallah t3oud originally sang by the great Wadih el Safi 

Danny Baladi is an amazing young Arabic singer from Beirut  .
We performed and recorded tracks together in 2009 , he got signed after that to an Arabic pop label . 
He came back recently wanting to push more or musical experimentation , so watch out , u absolutely  have to see him perform live.

C un probleme

this is one of the themes i have composed for " Roundtrip " , a film by  the Syrian director  Meyar Al-Roumi.
this piece was recorded between Beirut and Fraizer Park California .
I recorded Buzuk , guitalele , kalimba and melodica 
Miles Jay recorded Lyra , accordeon , contrebass and percussions.
This version is different from the one in the movie. I hope u ll have the chance to see it at the Dubai film festival , if it wins a prize it will hopefully be screened in some theatres around the world. ( finger crossed )

Zeid Hamdan is a Lebanese music composer.
He was born in Beirut in 1976
For the last 2 decades, he s been producing  some of the most interesting bands of the Lebanese and regional indie music scene such as Soapkills , The New Government , Hiba Mansouri , Kanjha Kora , Maryam Saleh , Maii Waleed and his own songs under the band name "Zeid and the wings"
On top of producing his own records , Zeid Hamdan  has also been scoring for Films .
In July 2012 he was distinguished by CNN as being one one the 8 leading light of Lebanese Culture.
