Multitalented Artist/Actor Gq Statuss 
Gq Statuss was born and raised in Brooklyn New York. At the age of eight years old he realized that music was his escape from his inner- city troubles. He started recording freestyles of himself over break beats on his mother's answering machine. As the years went by he began to write his lyrics down and recite them to his close friends and family, helping him to perfect his skills. During High School, he formed a group called I.C.F (illegal crime fam) who landed a record deal with Legendary Jam Master Jay of The Iconic Rap Group Run DMC. While on JMJ Records the group went on tour with artist such as Onyx, Special Ed, Sweet T, 50 Cent, JayO Felony, Fam-Lee and more. I.C.F. recorded their first Single on JMJ Records called, ”Now Or Never” which never was released do to the passing of Jam Master Jay. R.I.P.   

From the Stage to T.V.
In 2001 Gq Statuss landed a co-starring role in New Line Cinema's / BET & Tribeca Films Movie called “Prison Song” Feat. Q-Tip of Legendary Hip Hop Group A Tribe Called Quest, Mary J Blige, And Rapper Fat Joe. He played the role of “Thomas,” the best friend of Q-Tip. Director Darnell Martin & Robert Dinero who funded the film quotes, “Eric Gq Statuss Mccollum is a natural talent and will go far in this business”.

Past & Future Productions 
Residing in Portland Oregon he recently won 1st place in the Coast 2 Coast Live Showcase, Portland edition on February 5, 2017. Promoting a new project and with a growing fan base, Gq Statuss is looking forward to gracing the stage in Seattle Washington, for the next Coast 2 Coast Live Showcase. On July 4th, 2016 “DONLIFE 100” his debut Mixtape/Album was released, which is a lyrical body of work with dope track's that you can vibe too.
Other releases: “G.U.M” The E.P. (grown up music) and “NO FACE NO CASE” (Homi Season #1) Mixtape. You can stream, download, and purchase all three on all streaming site's such as iTunes, Datpiff, Tidal, Spotify, Google play, Amazon and more. 
Currently Gq Statuss is in the studio working on his new E.P. titled, “The Boiler Room”. The first song and video off the E.P. titled, “Problems” produced by Kamoshun is due to be released by months end June 2017. Gq Statuss is working with a new team and with his new project he is looking to take his career to the next level.
