Sunday evening in a club in Berlin – In advance I wasn't sure what genres and mood I would like to play. In the end, the set covered a wide range of moods and phases, which I also went through while playing.

At the beginning of the set I played some records that have been on my shelf for quite some time and that I haven't played for a while. This is followed by some housy and more technoid rediscoveries from my collection and a few of my current favourite bass, electro and breaks tracks. In between, of course, I've also played some great tracks that I've only recently discovered.

Episode 66 of the CommaCast Series re-welcomes the mischievous sounds of Glen S to the Comma family, whom previously released with us on our ToneShift output with the remarkable dancefloor hit 'Playtime'.

Providing us with over an hour of his own unreleased productions we have a mix that acts as a stable representation of why Aus producer and DJ, Glen S is a name that is heavily circulating around the underground renaissance of progressive house and trance. The young sound crafter has been generating a lot of heat in recent years with an impressive array of high quality label releases with respected brands such as eclectic., Haws, Parry Talks, Dialectic, Lovejoy and his own output Planet Euphoria. We were delighted when the artist shared this mix of all his own material with us, and very excited to share it all with you.

Parisian multi-faceted artist Thomas Guillemot, better known under his moniker NairLess, has been quite busy lately. With releases on Demi Requisimo's Semi Delicious, an outing on Radiant and his highly acclaimed First Wave EP on Rhode & Brown's Slam City Jams his latest works synonymously stand for the producer and pianist's high ambitious and surely have raised expectations towards the artist's musical outings. However, it's safe to say that NairLess most likely will meet those expectations as he's already now music in the pipe and ready to drop. Until then the vinyl-digger helps to pass the time with his latest art:cast, a conglomerate of House with a slight touch of Trance and Progressive-influences and definitely aiming to ring in the weekend. Steffan Todorović, one half of Abdul Raeva, is one of the most switched-on individuals we have ever spoken with. Based in Estonia, he runs multiple successful record labels such as Gestalt records, Coymix and Terrazo. He produces, he DJs, he plays shows all over Europe and somehow still has time to be a full-time account manager and run a soccer team. To say we are in awe would be an understatement. The 1-hour interview is followed by a mix from your favourite resident Emma Renee. Enjoy.

Leipzig's long-term resident jewelry  has been embracing all her musical personalities lately by presenting a diverse range of music styles. This time, she opted for a vinyl-only mix with a housy vibe, which she would describe as music to wiggle around to. 

"As I am not only a DJ but also working in a club, it is not only astonishing how unequal club culture is in front of the stage, but also behind it. It is definitely a hard business to establish yourself in, no matter where you are standing. We live in a patriarchy and club culture truly is and should be a safe space, but it is for sue not free from the society we live in. I appreciate every single person and event I come by, that truly makes an effort to have the best possible safe space provided for attendees. It's a hard job and I will always be moved by the work and stress people go through to break these patterns and create a time in place where you actually feel seen, heard and appreciated."
