Aaron Northern, a Memphis TN native is an experienced Music Producer/Musician with credits on several Memphis music and media projects that include radio commercials and independent albums. Northern has also produced and performed several of his own independent instrumental albums. In 1997, Northern teamed with independent film director Michael Tabor to score music for the documentary "Reality MLK Jr." starring Judge Joe Brown. Northern is a veteran musician that has played drums for several R&B, Jazz, and Blues performers including: The University of Memphis Jazz Ensemble, Blues recording artist Quinn Golden (Ecko Records). In 2003, Northern first performed locally, and toured Italy with Memphis native R&B/Gospel singer Jackie Johnson (Rufus Thomas, Lenny Kravitz, Staple Singers, Hustle & Flow, and the Great Debaters) in cities such as Naples, Milan, La Spezia, Rome and more. In 2004 while in Europe, Northern had the pleasure of performing in several concerts and live television appearances with Johnson and trumpet recording artist Andrea Tofanelli (George Michael, Joe Cocker, Tom Jones), as well as saxophonist Davide Dal Pozzolo. He was also the soul composer for the independent 2022 film The Sound She Saw by Emmy award winning film writer/producer Crystal Whaley that had great acclaim in numerous film festivals through out the US. Most recently Northern has had music composition sync placements on TV in various countries such as Hungary, Romania, and Germany.

My music is a blend of hip-hop, Africana studies, and my lived experiences from college, childhood, and everyday life. You’ll hear Memphis, you’ll hear religion, you’ll hear all of me. Share your story 🙌🏾

I started my music journey more than 10 years ago, got myself headed in a good direction when I experienced a hardware failure and lost everything. It was discouraging and I ended up quitting for more than 8 years. Now it's 2023 and I've just purchased FL Studio, upgraded my audio setup to a hi-fi setup, and have begun the learning progress again. My music may seem noob, but I plan to continue learning until I reach the point of professional. However long that may take, I'm dedicated to continuing to learn to be a better producer.

I hold nothing against other artists and producers for using already done samples from even more artists, however, this is not how I want my music journey to progress. All music will be exclusively created by me. The only samples to be used are instruments and VST Plugins. It may be a more difficult journey, but I feel it will be much more rewarding.
